08.01.2022 At our morning yarn, the children pledge to take care of Bundjalung land, the waterways and animals. We discuss how we can do this with a common answer being ‘put our rubbish in the bin’. So we decided to investigate a little further...what would happen to the rubbish that wasn’t put in the bin? Stay tuned as we wait to see what items decompose first, if at all.

04.01.2022 The Coodjinburra people knew when it was Spring time because the Echidna made an appearance from hibernation. This yarn lead to the children discussing the differences between the echidna, hedgehog and porcupine. Our new approach to mixed age learning allowed for the older children to build confidence and leadership skills while helping the younger children throughout the experience. ... #mixedagelearning #agency #belonging
