16.01.2022 The Turnbull Government has revised some key elements of the Superannuation reforms it announced in the May 2016 Budget. The controversial $500,000 lifetime non-concessional contributions cap has been replaced with an annual cap of $100,000 Concessional contributions cap is likely to reduce to $25,000 annually.... Also, high income earners above $250,000 need to be aware their concessional contributions will become taxable at 30% compared to the standard 15%. Other changes to Superannuation are likely to be legislated. You can talk to us at Daytons to discuss further.

12.01.2022 The government's Personal Income Tax Plan, as announced in the 2018-19 Federal budget, has been passed by Parliament. The changes introduced taking effect from the 2018-19 income year include: An increase to the top threshold for the 32.5 percent bracket from $87,000 to $90,000 and delivering a new low and middle income tax offset with a maximum amount of up to $530 for those who are eligible.
