08.01.2022 Pretty sad site, 15 years after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami lies this destroyed resort. At this location the wave reached about 30m high marked by a memorial built to that height. The trip has been fun but going along this part of the coast there are still these reminders of the devastation and loss of life. Thankfully the warning systems are now vastly improved
