25.01.2022 Due to closing our stud, Deacons Gate Fiera is for sale Fiera is feisty, she has always been inquisitive and forward, struggles not to be the centre of attention. We've only done the basics with Fiera, now 15 months old, hasn't had any training of note, is an excitable handful currently, but with a solid introduction into any discipline, expectations are that she will be a sound performer. Fiera meets all breed specifications, is up to date with vaccinations including Hend...ra as we are in QLD, she is fully registered with the UK and will mature into a lovely natured and charismatic mare. As a potential brood mare her impeccable bloodlines via Ruskington Harvester/Walton Supreme will be an asset to any stud looking to enhance the coming generations of the Australian Shire horse. Fiera is an outstanding filly, we will accept offers from $12000, but we are negotiable depending on buyer destination and their purpose, a sale will be to an approved home only. 25.01.2022 So we replaced the little Mazda 121. The little red car did us proud over the last 19 years. But the new Mitsubishi Outlander is just wonderful and our first long trip to Sydney was such a breeze with all that technology... We'll be back on the road week after next, taking the stallion back to Sydney for the Australian National Shire Show, driving is no longer a chore in this car.
22.01.2022 A deep and mournful sadness fills our hearts this day, our beloved mare, Southern Cross Celestial Pearl, left our world 16th November 2016. Despite blotting every tear with perfect memories and pictures of years shared, the grief at her sudden and unexpected death just consumes us, as loss always does in the first few days. Due to ongoing uterine presentations and deteriorating health we scheduled surgical intervention for our Pearl, selfishly wanting a few more years shared... here before releasing her to those souls watching and waiting along that rainbows edge. Pearl decided otherwise, fatally reacting to preparation drugs during surgery and took her last earthly breath, leaving an entire medical team in shock and disbelief as up to that point everything was progressing without cause for concern. Pearl will never leave our hearts; we will forever miss her unique dominance, her enduring make me attitude whilst she determined the when and where of how she did things, and forever our thanks for her progeny and the many many memories collected during our 8 years knowing this magnificent and feisty equine. Rest, play and be free my black beauty, you have enriched our lives beyond measure, we will miss you each and every day, our blessings my sweet sweet lady, whenever we see rainbows, we’ll wave hello, cause we can never say good bye.

12.01.2022 6yr old 17hh black Shire Gelding for Sale $12000 (NEG) A special horse for us, a magic temperament that we hoped to breed through future progeny, but sadly this... is not Salazar's destiny. He is stunning, dreamy movement, softest personality, gentleman in all aspects of handling, showing, travelling all over the country. Consistently placing with years of QLD competition, special trip 2015 attending Sydney royal and National he didn't put a foot wrong. He needs to be active and doing something rather than standing in a paddock, he loves the contact and tasks, a speedy learner who we think would be outstanding in harness or working, he's like riding a lounge chair and now that he's gelded we are looking for the best home. 09.01.2022 Stud closure - regretful sale of our stud stallion, Shandell Park Lucius Lucius is in his prime, 5 years old, magnificent presence, a mane that Fabio would die for, still coltish and playful but a respectful personality and quick learner. Broken to saddle, beautiful movement, meets all breed specifications and has so much potential, a regretful sale due to stud closure, he's a proven breeder, fantastic for the farrier, floating, handling, but his last ride was over 6 months ...ago so needs an experienced rider to bring him back into working fitness. He's UK SHS registration is 47675 and we are currently preparing his 5 year inspection video for the SHS stallion approvals, the officiating UK panel sits in April 2018. We are looking to find him an experienced horse handler home that will appreciate him and love him as we do but also respect that he is a stallion with higher management needs, a stud that will utilise his potential to breed his impeccable Moorfield Edward/Nottage Trump Card bloodlines into the next generation of Australian Shire horses. He is colour DNAis homozygous black EE, up to date with vaccinations, Hendra current as we live in QLD, no itch, is shod here due to our property fluctuating ground conditions and rarely needs any attention apart from an occasional presentation of itchy feathers depending on the weather. He took out 2015 Sydney royal and has shown in NSW and QLD successfully. We are accepting offers from $14,000 but we can be negotiable depending on location, purpose and individual story. He is a delight to manage, certainly knows what to do as a standing stallion, he's trained for dummy collection and/or live serve so a true asset for anyone contemplating this hulking black beauty for their stud. 04.01.2022 It is with great sadness to advise our Cerefin passed away today. I found her in the paddock, looking like she was just lying down... Seemingly a very quick heart attack, no scuff marks and she was peaceful. Sadly Cerefin has been called away to brighter pastures and takes her little foal with her. We will always love her tenacity and stubborn survival drive, she survived Endocarditis, sepsis, major abdominal surgery and so many bouts of colic - she had blissfully been on the other side of all that trouble for so long now and we were so looking forward to her foal come March, we thought we had so many more years ahead of us to share. But clearly her passage with us was limited, so we must now remember her for the beauty she was and let her go run with the rainbow dancers and be thankful that she will always be in our hearts.
