14.01.2022 Sunday will be a day mixed between sadness and joy @ the Melbourne Didgeridoo & Cultural Festival. This will be the first year with out one of Australia's most beloved Didgeridoo players and makers and my good friend and mentor Bruce Rodgers. I met Bruce at St Andrews market and bought my first Didgeridoo at the age of 10 years old. From that moment of meeting Bruce, I felt his energy and was connected to him on such a high level. He was a driving force for me as I was growin...g up with the Didgeridoo. I visited his house a few times to get some pointers and worked with him at Mia Mia Gallery. My first ever major performance was with Bruce in Warrandyte and we did a few more in and around Melbourne together. I have never felt so warm, respected and encouraged as a Didgeridoo player from being in Bruce's presence. I miss him quit a lot and would love to bang out the Didge just one more time with him. He has given me more then enough opportunities to develop into the Didgeridoo fanatic that I am Today. All the respect and gratitude for my man Bruce Rodgers, I know he will be there in Spirit at the Melbourne Didge Fest and I devote my entire presence to Bruce on Sunday. Love You Mate, and miss you dearly R.I.P buddy See more

02.01.2022 This is a very powerful photo that resembles and signifies a cause of the Aboriginal youths rightful and initiated direction needed as they grow up, I just returned from running a school camp in Aboriginal homelands in Cape York and it was so good and powerful to see how the families from close by communities come out to remote areas to stay with us in the camp, and bring their children, to spend everyday just hanging out, having big group chats and running indigenous activit...ies, it also made me realise a sad element of truth behind their future, to really witness and feel the truth behind how many young aboriginal children are not going through any forms of initiation and connection to country as they are raised is threatening there future of preserving Australia's Aboriginality. The Indigenous youth needs the guidance of their elders and they need our support to help be strong for their younger generations, find your connection with this part of Australia and support the communities in anyway you can, your involvement will be the encouragement they need to get these youngsters to out into country and learn the old ways #aboriginal #tribe #aboriginalculture #lore #australialovesyou #indiginous #initiation #family #truth #aboriginalpeople #deadly #deadlyresonance See more
