24.01.2022 DO NOT LOOK AWAY! This is a national scandal and must be shared far and wide. I have just been sent this photo of the dry Darling River at Trevallyn Station, ne...ar Wilcannia. This is an ecological disaster caused by greedy upstream irrigators taking too much water and the corruption and mismanagement of the Liberal and National Party. If we do not spread the word then the once mighty Darling River will die. Graziers Bill & Chrissie Ashby, who sent me this photo, are angry at the loss of water from the river. Their family has lived in the area since the 1880s and they know that this is not natural or the result of drought - this is a man-made disaster. Fixing this cannot just be left up to us in regional areas, we need people across Australia - in towns and cities, on farms and on the coast to get angry and get active. The only way that this situation will change is if we work together to raise the profile of this scandal, make it massive bloody political headache for the Liberals and Nationals and if you make the health of the Murray-Darling Basin an issue which sways your vote.
