16.01.2022 We are excited to welcome back some of our YoungBlue alumni to EVOLUTION this January! First up, Tim Andrews - pictured here looking suave at the 2011 Winterschool! Tim Andrews completed a Bachelor of Music with Honours Class I at the University of Queensland majoring in cello performance. He was a finalist in various competitions during his time at university. He has toured France and Germany with the Queensland Youth Orchestra and performed with the Queensland Symphony Orc...hestra. Tim has busked on street corners throughout Australia, Spain and France and says that DeepBlue showed him the full possibilities of electrified string instruments and looping, and has used this while busking to surprise and delight passersby around the world! 03.01.2022 Another special guest joining us for EVOLUTION is Charlotte Marnee! 2020 topped off a promising year for Charlotte when she won an ATOM Music Video award for her debut single Fledgling, which she also co-directed. With a genre-bending style, ranging from pop and r&b to soulful ballads, Charlotte's sound can be compared to contemporaries Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey and Sabrina Claudio. A YoungBlue Alumna, Charlotte looks forward to previewing an upcoming single "Anime Love" ...with fellow musician Saei. Some of Charlotte’s most memorable summers were spent at DeepBlue’s SummerSchool, meeting other young musos and performing. She cites the YoungBlue SummerSchool as inspiration for her stage confidence and the ability to improvise and bend different genre conventions.
