16.01.2022 Being in lockdown has helped me reflect on movement in a new way As a teacher of movement I’m used to breaking down movements of the body, applying stretches and exercises to help my clients enjoy better quality of movement and better quality of life. How we move our bodies is one aspect of movement. Another is more spatial - where we choose to take our bodies. Our lifestyles are so busy, rushing around from place to place is just what we do Now we’re in lockdown many ...of us are wondering, why do I normally need to move around so much? Is all that rushing from place to place really necessary? Post lockdown, is there a way you can continue to live with less movement from place to place? Maybe if we spent less time rushing around it would allow for more openness in our bodies. Maybe we’d feel a little more spaciousness and less tension. And if we felt less tension and more spaciousness in our bodies, maybe the world would feel a little more that way too. @newleaf_oldtree

09.01.2022 In times of stress, fear, & ill health I always reach for my essential oils. Actually, at all times and everyday I reach for my oils!! Today the oil I’m loving on is geranium. It's very appropriate for this time because geranium is the oil of love and trust It helps to restore confidence in the innate goodness of others and in the world & factilates trust especially during difficult times. ... It smells amazing diffused with lavender and wild orange. If you’re feeling like you need a little extra clarity add some clary sage to the mix too Affirmation to use with geranium: Today I open my heart and feel love and trust in the innate goodness of the world If you’d like to learn more about essential oils you’re welcome to join my Deeply Kind essential oil inspirations facebook group. 09.01.2022 FIND SIMPLICITY IN YOUR MOVEMENT PRACTICE. Movement doesn’t have to be complicated, exhausting or painful to have an effect on how you look, and more importantly, on how you feel. Moving mindfully with focused living-attention on your body helps you let go of stress and fear and allows for the emergence of a calm, relaxed, connected place. You have the power to tap into that place and take it with you wherever you go.

05.01.2022 So feeling this. The more I switch my mind off the better I’m able to figure stuff out. Seems like answers just come from nowhere. Like if you’ve experienced this too... See more

Yes its true, Pilates is for everyone!

03.01.2022 So excited to be leaving managed isolation today! Being forced to stay in a nice hotel for 17nights is hardly something to complain about (the food was excellent in case you’re wondering) but I’m sure going to enjoy being free again! Thank you to this little room for being my home for the last 2+ weeks & thank you to the caring staff @novotelakl you’ve made my stay very comfortable

01.01.2022 In this calming 14 min practice I'll take you through a series of releases and simple exercises designed to help you create muscle balance in your pelvis and relieve tension in your lower back. You'll need a foam roller for this practice .
