23.01.2022 I believe that creating art is the purest form of self-care anyone can immerse themselves in and the most personal threads of ourself that we can offer to another. Whether it be felting, music, painting, baking, sewing, pottery, photography, poetry, classes you offer etc Whatever art you pour your soul into and send into the world not only enriches you but others. Every handmade creation has a story behind it. The kind of day we had, our aspirations and memories. The emotions... we feel - whether they bare joy or pain. The thoughts we’ve been pondering and the reflection of the impact others have on us. I love creating special crowns to bring life to celebrations in an eco-friendly way. Each time I’ve done a drop of my felted products - I am honoured by the response and support I receive. Thank you Set your alarms! The next drop of felted goods will hit the store on Monday 21st at 9am AEST Keep an eye out for through the week for more previews of what will be available. What form(s) of art are you drawn to? Share in the comments. Felt and roving from @indigoinspirations

13.01.2022 #achristmashandmade is back! Join us on Instagram in sharing and inspiring each other in the magic that is handmade. We believe Christmas should be a time of slowing down, connecting, nurturing our relationships with loved ones, holding sacred space for ourselves, feeling gratitude, and spreading kindness.... Focusing on handmade means building precious memories and family traditions. It is gifting with intention - from the heart. It’s therapeutic in what can be a stressful season for many. It’s learning new skills and honing old ones. It’s saving money and our precious planet from waste. It teaches the value of giving and receiving handmade, to children. Download our FREE ebook (on the Deer and Fawns homepage) Follow along with myself and my cohosts as we share our #achristmashandmade this festive season. @little.beach.farm @heartofblooms_ @the.botanical.mama @threefoldmama Follow the tag #achristmashandmade Share your handmade decorations, advents, gifts -whatever you are creating- with the participating community and let’s bring back the simple but enriching magic that is handmade. 04.01.2022 Spring is in the air - the bees are buzzing, the flowers are blooming and the air is warming around us. One of our favourite spring activities with all the beautiful colours appearing in nature - is nature masks, and you can get our free mask template from the Resources page on our website.
02.01.2022 Repost images Illustration by @swon.studios and photos by RSPCA. If you're using disposable masks, please cut the straps off before placing them in the bin. ...Any looped fabric or elastic should be cut off and into smaller pieces. This also includes rubber bands, hair ties etc as they entangle birds feet and cause injury, pain, suffering and death for wildlife. Even better, wear appropriately made reusable masks, made from cotton fabric. They can then eventually be home composted or put in a worm farm.
