11.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE A big THANK YOU to all of our clients for their patience whilst we organise our practice to follow current guidelines for health and safety during the pandemic. Our current update:... - If you are unwell, do not come to the practice. If you think you are at risk of COVID-19 infection or have been in contact with someone who is/may be infected, please inform us prior to coming inside. - A maximum of two clients are allowed in our reception zone at any time. Please call prior to your visit (and at arrival), even for food/medication pickup as you may need to wait in your car or outside until we are ready. - Clients will be asked to apply hand sanitize on arrival and to remain behind the taped line at our reception (to observe distancing rules). - Clients are asked to bring their pet into our waiting room where the pet will be taken into a consult room by a vet or nurse. Clients are no longer permitted into consults (with some exceptions). We will still discuss histories and treatment plans with you at a safe distance in the waiting room, or over the phone. - Nothing will change in terms of our examinations, treatment options or surgery schedule. However, you may need to allow for extra time around consults, or even to pick up medication or talk to our vet. - As much as possible we prefer contactless payment methods, not cash. - In some circumstances we may provide consults across the phone if deemed appropriate and these will be charged consults. We are currently open from 8am-7pm on Weekdays, 9am-5pm on Saturday, 10am-3pm on Sunday. Thanks from all of us at Dee Why Vets!

08.01.2022 *NEW CHANGES DUE TO COVID-19* Firstly we would like to assure everyone that we are still open ! As everyone is aware, rules and regulations are changing constantly. We will try our best to keep everyone updated as best as possible going forward. But if you have any worries or question, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. .... . . Due to the current situation with COVID-19 we have made some change to our practice policy. They are as follows; 1. Our weekday OPENING HOURS have slightly changed. We will close 1 hour earlier than usual. This will mean we will be open from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sunday. 2. We will be minimizing the number of people in the building to allow for social distancing regulations. In order for this to be effective, we are asking that only 2 people are in the waiting room at any one time. This is to allow for staff members to be present also. However, If you arrive at the clinic for an appointment or to simply make a purchase and there are already people in the waiting room please let us know you are here by calling us. 3. Due to the size of our consultation rooms, we can only allow for 1 person to be in the consult with the vet at any one time. This again is to abide by the regulations of social distancing. Please call us from your vehicle when you arrive for your appointment so we can ensure a consultation room is free for you and that the waiting room is not yet at capacity. 4. We understand that everyone is trying to safe. If you are coming down to collect medication or make any purchase, we will ask that you call ahead so we can have this ready. Payments over the phone can also be made so that we can simply hand you the goods at the door. 5. We have sanitizer for our customers to use. We are trying super hard to keep everything clean so that we can stay open and look after all the lovely pets out there. And so we are pleading with everyone to use the hand sanitizer provided once you enter the clinic. 6.If you feel ill or feel worried about coming in to a public place, please call us. We are here for you and your pets and we will help in any possible way that we can. 7. Most importantly, we are here to help. We really do understand what a stressful time this is for everyone and we can assure you that all of us here at Dee Why Vet will do everything we can to support you at this time. . . . Apologies for the long post. Thank you for reading. Stay safe, The team at Dee Why
