10.01.2022 As a sustainable build DeHavilland does not just harnesses the environmental credentials of timber construction, it also benefits from other alternative building materials. All the upper floors in the building are made up of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) which although made of concrete puts out 10% of the carbon compared traditional concrete. Even the main ground slab has a different mix to reduce carbon emissions. We believe that approaches to sustainable building for the future must not just be the application of new technology but also the improvement of traditional technology as well!
