23.01.2022 Wow! Look what Delaware Youth are up to at the centre....they have some amazing activities planned. This week we have Performing Arts. Next week is Science week, come along join us with Wizard lab, zombie science, exploding rockets and really get to look at different items through the microscope! Not forgetting the detective challenge. In forest school week we will be building butterfly and bird houses, basket weaving, charcoal tattoos, den building followed up with camp songs and hot chocolate. We can now also announce our mystery week.... Delaware Youth Junior Chef! Pizzas, kebabs, cakes from planning to cooking and not forgetting the eating! We have limited numbers so please give us a call and book to avoid disappointment! 01822 832093 Thursdays are 20 and include swimming, Fridays 16.50 per child. Come along and enjoy the fun!

18.01.2022 A message from Delaware Pre-School; We are so excited to announce Delaware Youth starting this Summer with Leonie! This will be every Thursday and Friday throughout the Summer holidays starting on Thursday 27th July from 10am to 3pm and costing 20 per child per day. Discount for booking all 10 days. Pre-School will run as normal and be available to children aged 1 to 11years. Delaware Youth available to those rising 5 to 11 years. Fantastic range of activities to include Performing arts week, Science week, Forest school week, Team building and sports week and Mystery week. On a Thursday we will also be swimming at Honicombe this is all led by Leonie who is fully qualified. Spaces will be limited please book early to avoid disappointment 01822 832093.

15.01.2022 Delaware Pre-School are looking for an apprentice. Aged 16-19 years working towards level 3 in childcare, to start as soon as possible. GCSE C or above desirable in Maths and English. Must be able to work all year round and work shifts Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. Please apply with a handwritten application and drop it in to the office at Delaware Community Centre.

BBC Live Lessons and BBC Bitesize Daily, as well as other educational programming such as Our School and Celebrity Supply Teacher and much loved titles such as Horrible Histories, Art Ninja and Operation Ouch. 13.01.2022 We had a forestry fun day at the centre today, making bird feeders, toasting marshmallows, frying garlic bread, building fairy houses and so much more. A huge thank you to Laura Sweet for organising this single handed. The centre including our extremely well kept forestry area is available for hiring at only 5 an hour

We'll be trying out our brand new face pebbles and making stick frames to disp...lay them, making wildflower seed bombs and some handprint art...we'll be working together to make a beautiful new flag for our site and we'll be making some tasty tomato soup, toast and marshmallows (naturally ) over the campfire! 05.01.2022 What a beautiful day! We had indoor and outdoor activties today but there was no keeping anyone inside with all this glorious sunshine! We got good and wet play...ing with the water wall, watering can, strainer cups and just a good old tray of water on the floor for those less mobile (which actually turned out to be the best bit of all!) The seesaw, car, pirate ship and trees were popular as ever and some of our little explorers tried their hands at a spot of gardening. We even set up a sensory tent outside. Some beautiful discovery bottles were made (and there are more to make tomorrow) and we had a tasty snack before finishing with a lovely story...Giraffes Can't Dance. Really hoping this weather sticks around so we can enjoy lots more outdoor sessions See more

There will be great enterta...inment from the fabulous Little Spanish Stars and Moo Music, Face Painting by Jenny's Funtime Faces Liskeard, and lots of beautiful stalls to browse, including essential oils from Essentially Beth, homemade rainbow play-doh, the return of our DIY Mocktail Bar and so much more to be announced, not to mention all of the usual Forest School fun! Why not bring a picnic and make a day of it? Of course there'll be campfire snacks too! Bring the family and help us to raise some much needed funds for our valuable community group! 01.01.2022 Oh my goodness I am so excited!! We have just been to check out our new Forest School area on site at Delaware Pre-School!! Such a wonderful space with amazi...ng potential and we cannot wait to start using it! However we need a little help to get it ready! We're planning a working party this Saturday from 10-4, with the aim of clearing the brambles from the site to make it safer and generally tidying up to make the space our own. There will be free hot drinks and biscuits, and maybe even DOUGHNUTS for all those involved So...what do we need from you? 1) Time.. can you spare an hour or two this Saturday to make a difference? 2) Wool...any scraps of wool you may have left over (or your grannies may have left over!!) Any colour and length is appreciated. 3) Bulbs or seeds we can plant to brighten up the area. We'd like to run as eco-friendly a site as possible so any donations you can make would be wonderful! 4) This is a bit of a long shot, but we could really use some form of outdoor shelter...are you updating your shed or other garden structure and could donate your old one to us? Please share/ask around...we are so excited to be running this, and we just know we can make it something really fantastic for the community with your help...so please get involved! See more

01.01.2022 Thank you for this great review, we are really pleased your booking was a success...... I hired Delaware preschool/Delaware community centre for my daughters 6th birthday party. I invited 15 children but 18 came in the end...i was worried about space but needn't have. It was perfect. The team are very friendly and informative and its unbelievably cheap. I would highly recommend to all my friends and family.
