21.01.2022 Out of the archives - student art! S is for Sunsets. These classes were held in 2017 and 2018, back when we had classes on my deck. Lots of smiling happy faces here, mixing beautiful bright colours to make sunset skies.

17.01.2022 Out of the archives - Student art! P is for Pumpkins. We painted this in the Intermediates online class in June 2020, it was winter then and pumpkins felt like a good subject to paint - maybe I was craving pumpkin soup! Lots of lovely detail in this image, it was a little complicated and time consuming and everyone's paintings looked amazing in the end!

I am so proud of all of these amazing artworks, everyone did an exceptional job and took the extra time to devote to the detail. Its so worth it! 16.01.2022 Out of the archives - student art! S is for Sundae. Everything was cancelled in 2020, including the Brisbane EKKA (show). One of the traditional features of the Ekka is the Strawberry Sundae, so instead of getting one, we painted some! Actually, it was an amazing time here in Brisbane because even though the show was canceled, the Strawberry Sundae lived on in local cafes and side walk stalls where you could drive through to get one (Covid Safe). It was a lovely way to keep the Ekka alive for the people and also to support the strawberry growers.

02.01.2022 Todays online art classes are complete. Our subject was trees, one of my fave things to paint. In the Intermediates class we painted a gorgeous gum tree on a river bank and this afternoons class was a big bright autumn tree - we all enjoyed using bright colours! No classes next week, Im taking a week off, so well be back in 2 weeks for more pastels, drawing and painting.

02.01.2022 Last weekend we had the Dancing with Dolphins Workshop. Normally I run a Sunday workshop every few months, but COVID has prevented that until now. It was lovely to spend the day painting in the company of others. These are photos of student art from the day, I just love the colours and vibrancy!
