21.01.2022 Its been a busy few weeks for the Wagga team, arranging the final delivery of #purchaseapost Waratah Fencing fence posts to bush fire victims in Gilmore and Tumbarumba. Big thank you to Gilmore fire captain Greg McLachlan for assisting with the loading and distribution. Posts were also donated to local BlazeAid crews still working in the area. The fundraising initiative raised over $130,000, the support and contributions from suppliers and local businesses has been widesprea...d. FMC Corporation donated $36,800 made up of corporate donations and staff donations which the company matched dollar-for-dollar. Waggas Commonwealth Bank branch held a morning tea with participants purchasing a post to attend, and the NSW TAFE plumbing section held a series of barbeques for a total of $2,000. The Kooringal Hotel ran a Parmi for a Post campaign and Wagga business Teys Australia donated $5,000. Other farmers and families donated, and even young children collected up all their loose change, local communities and businesses really got behind this campaign which saw 100% of funds raised go directly to those in need.
