23.01.2022 Been busy inbetween the showers, one from last week, quick detail for a sale.

23.01.2022 The Golden Goose, a trusty and bit rusty rig with a lot of character! Gave it a good go over.

21.01.2022 Bit of a before and after side by side style ... seats had to be swapped over so got a chance to give the whole carpet a shampoo.

21.01.2022 I've started a restoration on this old VN commodore to prepare it for club rego since it's now over 30 years old. It was polished and waxed a few years ago but since then has been resting in an open shed. After a couple of pressure washer blast offs, snow foam and a couple of bucket washes the paint was as good as it could get.... But there is more than meets the eye. Next step was to apply some paint decontaminate spray which helps to remove bonded contaiminates such as i...ron particles which show up as a red colour like it's bleeding! Next was some clay bar or a clay towel to help remove these bonded particles..... essentially a fine abrasive that helps to remove them. This leaves the paint in a state ready for a cut and polish....without this step it would essentially just grind alot of these particles into the paint. It's one of the many things I've learned and trialed in my journey to always improve what I do. See more

18.01.2022 Gave this rig the works, paint decontamination and clay bar, machine polish, paint protection, rubbers treated, engine bay cleaned plus interior shampoo and detail inside.

17.01.2022 Gave my fave little pink rig a shine up today, always looks nice. Been using a new product Golden Touch polymer paint protection which gives a nice deep shine.

07.01.2022 Thought I'd share a bit if detail into what goes on in a full detail like the one ivstarted on today, a nice XR8 thats been off the road for a bit. Gave it a couple of thorough washes before hitting it with a product that helps get rid of old polishes and iron particles and other airborne contaminants that bond to the surface of a cars paintwork. It always surprises me just how much stuff can be still stuck to the paint after a couple of thorough washes and pressure washe...r blasts... The product turns purple and the close up photos are enhanced to show this......a clay bar is used like as a ultra fine abrasive to remove these contaminants before polishing can commence. After the clay bar the paint already feels silky smooth to the touch. See more

06.01.2022 One of this week's jobs, polished up, interior clean and leather seat treatment to help maximize the trade in potential. All of the cars I have detailed for sale have sold for their owners.... Besides the ones who decided to keep their shiny new rig.

03.01.2022 Gave my brother Dan's ute a good go over today. Gave it a thorough wash, removed bugs and tar, then gave it a hit with some iron decontaminate spray and went over it with a clay towel, washed again, used my new buffer to give the paint a cut and then once removed gave it a machine polish with my new favourite polymer polish "Mirror Image" (from Autosmart) then buffed it off with Bowdens Own Fully Slick for another layer of paint protection. Did the interior and also applied ...a new product on the mirrors and other areas of black plastic called Mr Black from Bowdens Own, it works wonders on any faded plastic. Finished it all off with some rainex on the front windscreen. Came up nice for a trusty work rig. Traded the job with Dan for an epic whipper snipper go over that I'd been too busy to get to for a few weeks. Both jobs took most of the day, and there were two very happy customers White really pops with a good cut and polish.

02.01.2022 The big rig was back today for a quick go over, was great to see all the paint protection coats I put on it a few months ago held up and it didn't take long to redo it and apply some more shine. Same thing goes for the interior where the Scotchgard treated carpets and mats and leather protection on the seats didn't take alot to freshen them up. Great example of the benefits of a complete detail and polish at least once a year and maintenance washes to keep it looking good. In this case it was done for sale and it's redo makes it now ready for its new owner.
