25.01.2022 New fences being erected on our church site this week. They are on the side and front of our property. People are very welcome to come along on Sunday to our church services on Sunday at 8am or 10am and have a look at the new fences as well. If you are not a regular and want to come please let Richard Mills know if you are coming. Church phone 02 9829 2871. This week we are looking at Nehemiah chapter 6. Interesting timing that as we are looking at Nehemiah and the walls of Jerusalem being built we are having new fences erected on our church site!

24.01.2022 Tomorrow at church we have our guest speaker from CMS - Graeme Sedorenko. Come and be encouraged from Ephesians and thinking about world mission! Remember to book in for 8 am at the chapel, but there is room at 10am in the hall, plus children's activities. Please also pray for quite a few church members who are not well, and for the growth of Christ's kingdom here.

22.01.2022 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) #OpenTheBible

22.01.2022 Read the latest devotion at bible.com.au When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. Where have you laid him? he asked. Come and see, Lord, they replied.... Jesus wept. Then the Jews said, See how he loved him! John 11:32-36 Reflection: Do you care? The year 2020 has given us more than enough to care about. We empathise, lament, and mourn; Covid 19; Black Lives Matter; devastating bushfires; floods; years of drought; environmental damage. It is hard not to care about all these things and much more. ‘Do you care about me?’ is a question that writers of the Psalms often ask (Ps 142:2). We have a deep longing to know whether there is someone who cares about us as individuals. Mary and Martha wondered if Jesus really cared, when he did not come to them before Lazarus died. Here we see Jesus’ vulnerability and how he genuinely cared; he wept before raising Lazarus to life again. Similarly, he genuinely cared for the Samaritan woman in the heat of the day in John 4. He cares not for just the world (John 3:16) but about each individual. As the Resurrection and the Life, he cares and brings about the redemption of everything. Question: Do you long to be cared for? How does reflecting on Jesus’ care for you give you strength this day? Prayer: My Friend Jesus, thank you that I can share with you all my grief and sin, and you bear them. When I face trials, trouble, and temptations, help me take my cares to you, as you know my every weakness and care. Amen. We're reading the Bible with Sarah Hobba. Rev Sarah Hobba is a School Chaplain and Educator who has worked for almost two decades in both Melbourne and Sydney Anglican schools. Sarah studied at both Moore College and Ridley College. She is married to Jason and is a member of the Barnabas Schools Ministry Conference organising committee, which works in partnership with Bible Society and Centre for Public Christianity

11.01.2022 So hard for so many struggling in the Philippines with typhoons and Covid and poverty - please pray for them and for Christian witness in tough times.

11.01.2022 We were watching a live stream wedding from Dubbo. We dressed up and thought we would have a photo in front of the chapel to mark the occassion.

10.01.2022 Due to the extreme heat forecast for Saturday, the monthly working bee will be cancelled! However, people are very welcome to come and do their bit any time during the week, when it's cooler and therefore safer. Richard mowed the cemetery on Sunday afternoon, and Marge went on a cactus hunt in the paddock close to the carpark for a couple of hours. So those jobs are done, but plenty more to do!

06.01.2022 We have improved the signs for our church. Our Sunday church service times are now displayed clearly. Thanks to Erl from Elf Signs in Mittagong for doing such a great job with our signs. We hope and pray that people will be attracted to visit our church services because of the improved signs.

05.01.2022 Planning to get out in the sunshine tomorrow? Take a moment to look up at the sky. That huge expanse of blue represents the greatness of God's love for his peop...le, for you. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:11-12

02.01.2022 South Sudan: extremists kill and abduct church attendees (from Open Doors website). BY EMILY WATT | 15 SEPTEMBER 2020 At least 23 people were killed and another 20 wounded after armed extremists stormed an Anglican church compound. After killing people in the church, the gunmen went to the homestead village and killed people there, Bishop Aymon told the media. The gunmen burned down the whole village in Makol Chei. So far, we have six people missing, and we’re not sure whe...ther they’re dead or alive. Six children were also abducted. Extremist violence across South Sudan has now displaced over 60,000 people. With several organisations forced out of the country, lives and the future of the church in the country is at extreme risk. Open Doors spokesperson for Sub-Saharan Africa, Jo Newhouse, said: We join the call on the government to do all in its power to protect civilians against attacks like these. The only way to resolve the crisis is for all parties to respect peace agreements and to prosecute those who are found guilty of breaching those agreements. The church has an important role to play in building peace at a grassroots level, encouraging everyone involved to respect human dignity as they resolve their differences. Please pray for South Sudanese Christians. Pray For South Sudan: Pray for peace, comfort and healing for those affected by extremism. Pray that Christians will remain steadfast in their faith with the courage to remain and share the gospel. Praise God that He has the power to transform even the hardest hearts. Pray His love is accepted by extremists.

02.01.2022 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 (NIV) #OpenTheBible
