24.01.2022 A welcome is extended for anyone to come out for a spot of hand weeding and fuel reduction in a lovely bushland reserve, this Wednesday 13th Nov anytime between 9am and 12 midday. Parking near the waterfall on the corner of Scotsdale and Shadforth Rds. We will be under the big karris across the road in Shire Reserve R64256. Cheers, Diane.

23.01.2022 Get to know your bushland reserves! Meet us at Pioneer Park on the Highway behind the Uniting Church on Wednesday 11th December between 9 - 12 for a spot of light weeding. No herbicides are used - we will show you our manual weeding technique. Over the last 30 years local people have volunteered their time to remove Sydney wattle, Victorian tea tree, Broom, Dolichos and Watsonia. ... Btw, this is not a Shire funded project. 14.01.2022 If you go down to the woods today be sure of a big surprise...... Critically Endangered Western Ringtail Possum seen in the 'hood on this night camera. Remnant bushland is worth taking care of.

12.01.2022 WHICH WATTLE? Different views of Acacia myrtifolia. Keep these delicate local natives in the ground. Note the single rib line in the leaf. (Commonly mistaken for Sydney Golden Wattle that has several rib lines).
