21.01.2022 Geoscience Australia will be flying an Airborne Electromagnetic survey in the near future within the southwest region of Western Australia. Flight lines will be 20 km apart in an east-west orientation as shown on the map in the attached notice. A helicopter will be flying at 100 m above ground level during the survey. No ground contact will be made in the survey area. If you require more detailed notice of flights in your area or have any concerns, feel free to contact Geoscience Australia on 0427 192 745.

15.01.2022 On 21 July, the Government announced it is extending the JobKeeper Payment until 28 March 2021 and is targeting support to those businesses and not-for-profits which continue to be significantly impacted by the Coronavirus. Further changes were announced on 7 August 2020 to adjust the reference date for employee eligibility and make it easier for organisations to qualify for the JobKeeper Payment extension from 28 September 2020. Situated on Shire land, reticulated eighteen holes, 7.6 kilometres in length, tree-lined kikuyu fairways, perched creeping bent-grass greens with fescue collars, is your daily work place. An energetic supportive team of volunteers and an assistant are your colleagues. And, there are families of kangaroos, l...ounging around. With a full calendar of highly supported events, such as the renowned February 3-day Denmark Classic, and high volume visitor golfers, the course and its facilities, including an undercover driving range, are golf ready all year round. Aided by your similar experience, on-going training and certification with chemicals, maintenance, operating turf machinery and a current Drivers Licence, you understand golf courses and the nature of the game. Primarily a 38-hour week, the role will require seasonal and weekend flexibility. Daily, your role is autonomous, and reports to the Works Supervisor, a member of the Management Committee. 08.01.2022 The Tourism Grants for Indigenous Business Program will provide up to $12 million over four years in small grants to help individual businesses and community organisations invest in developing new products, equipment, business planning and marketing in the tourism sector. Grants are capped at $50,000 for a privately owned business and $100,000 for community organisations. To be eligible, each business must be an Indigenous-owned tourism business (50% or more Indigenous owned) or an Indigenous community organisation that operates on a profit or not for profit basis.
08.01.2022 Applications for the fourth round of Smart Farms Small Grants will close at 11:00 pm (AEDT) on 9 October 2020. The Australian Government has allocated $136 million to the Smart Farms program (2017-18 to 2022-23). The funding supports the development and uptake of best practice, tools and technologies for: farmers and land managers... fishers foresters regional communities. This will help improve the protection, resilience and productive capacity of our soils, water and vegetation which underpin successful primary industries and regional communities. Smart Farms will focus on improving land management practices and biodiversity. 03.01.2022 For many regional agriculture businesses, ensuring they can attract enough seasonal workers in the coming months is absolutely vital - so the WA Government are providing some additional incentives to help workers get out there and fill those roles. Under the new State Government rebate scheme, eligible workers who move to the regions for agricultural work will be able to claim up to $40 a night in accommodation rebates for up to 12 weeks up to a maximum total rebate of $336...0. A travel allowance will be also made available to those relocating more than 100 kilometres from their usual place of residence. Workers will be able to claim $150 for travel to the Peel, South West, Great Southern, Wheatbelt, Mid West or Goldfields-Esperance regions, $350 for travel to the Gascoyne or Pilbara, and $500 for travel to the Kimberley. The rebate scheme will come into effect on 21 September - more information about submitting a claim can be found here: www.dpird.wa.gov.au/regional-workers-scheme Now's the time to work and wander out yonder and experience our unique State in a way you never have before.
