25.01.2022 I always love the weekend ... but THIS weekend was something entirely different ... I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED this weekend so much ... the Spunout Festival at Lake Leschenaultia was off the charts and not of this world ... and so good to become inspired and develop new friendships with so many beautiful creative people!!!

21.01.2022 The most amazing thing for me about this shoot apart the beautiful costumes and dizzying spins of led hoops amazing was meeting All the Lights. Such beautifully playful, crazily creative, open hearted and fun loving souls who truly embrace collaborative spirit. We all went down the rabbit hole, we went to wonderland, we made discoveries and learnt together. Im so proud and fortunate to have shared friendship and a creative journey with the Lights.

19.01.2022 Taking a dive into the pool of Blazetatacular and swimming with so many Blazers was such an exhilarating well rounded experience. Friendliness, colour, creativity, kindness and so many other facets of the Jilakin experience were to be found. If only there’d been a few Portaloos installed just to complete the journey. 18.01.2022 So ... we are walking down James St after the amazing "Choir of Man" and we bump into the talented Elizabeth Davie , a Fringe friend from last year and get an unexpected invite to "Consensual Connies Karaoke Rodeoke" at Fringe Central .... screamingly hilarious ... and MCed by the wildly unconventional and beautifully unhinged energy of Jamie Mykaela and Rose KB. Oh what a night! #Fringeworld

18.01.2022 Woohoo .... 2020 gone and dusted. I have few regrets about last year but I do wish I had posted more photos of the amazing people, human creativity and beautiful spaces and places I was witness to. So with few shots on at the moment, I'll some time to start sharing some photographic journeys from 2020. One of my visual extrravangazas last year was the Blossom Festival near Boddington. Noleen Ni Rain invited me to her Red Birthday party and it was ...... Just Right and the group shot with beautiful red against the green with so many happy people...

18.01.2022 Photographing the Stygian Shitshow Spectacular was an amazing experience and I was able to capture so many beautiful, funny, exciting and touching moments. This image however is my definite favourite. For me this group portrait has somehow captured the joyous energy, the human diversity, the colour, the art and the playful spirit of the event ... it was a beautiful beautiful experience ... Thank you to James Hastings and all those who poured their creative and physical energy into making it all happen.

18.01.2022 Thank you Monkey Collective for inviting me to capture the Talking Heads Dance Party at the Luna last night! I thought it was going to be good but it was so so better than I’d started even to imagine... Full on dancing to Talking Heads in concert with a pop up cinema bar, Talking Head dress-ups and lampshades all over the place. Hot, sweaty, smiling, dancing, laughing and happy Too much fuuuuunnn! God Job Monkey Collective!!

17.01.2022 ... if theres anything that suckers me in its going to be an old abandoned house thats been left to deteriorate in natures time... and this old cottage near Greenough was an absolute magnet ... now Im not that easily spooked but this one did spook me quite a bit but not for ghostly reasons ... it was quite a warm day on the first day of Spring and the long long unattended grass and weeds would be a haven for trigger happy tiger snakes... I wanted to go inside so I had... to brave the weeds ... on entry I was overwhelmed by a powerful smell of bird droppings and I almost felt like not breathing ... when I stepped into the living room I realised there was a bee hive in a wall cavity and the room was swarming with bees to which I have some allergy... my instinct was to flee through the broken house and bird droppings and in to the long grass where the tiger snakes were sure to be lurking but I held my ground ... 07.01.2022 Even forty degrees wont stop The Liberators living life to the max in their dance party tour from South Beach to CY OConnorBeach in Free on Saturday. A mobile DJ, six mobile powered speakers and a refreshing Indian Ocean to dive into when you got too hot. Dancing along the beach and in the water and beautiful smiles and waves from other beach goers.

06.01.2022 So... I went to see this super little circus show in North Perth and afterwards I went for a wander through Northbridge to see what I could see and capture what I could catch ... I brought an umbrella speedlight reflector and stand along with the idea of using it to highlight trees etc ... I set the light up in Northbridge Mall by the Art Gallery and a passing group asked if I could take their photo. Sure ...Id love to ... So then it evolved into a little experiment. I... sat on a bench with the light set up, camera in hand to see if people would ask for their photos and how they would respond to me.I didnt ask anyone or even look at them while they walked past. ( I diligently played with my phone) I stayed about about an hour and a half and had a ball ! So many people came and chatted... I took photos, organised group shots and played and played. Ill do it again for sure. Some groups had been at the pub longer and they were hilarious to try and organise. But Im still wondering about that young dude who said I looked eccentric. He said it really nicely as if to compliment me so I took it as such but still .... See more
