08.01.2022 So it is with an extremely heavy heart that we confirm that our beautiful venue design @ettieshobart & Ettie’s Cellar Bar have closed their doors for good, due to the current pandemic situation wreaking havoc on our thriving Hobart hospitality industry... Wow, the absolute passion and heart that went into not only the creation of this venue’s interior from my end, but that of the venue owners and trades people who worked long hours in the early stages pulling this a...ll together. That of the dedicated staff who made every customers experience a truly great one. The passionate kitchen conjuring beautifully crafted menu offerings along side incredible wine selections. It is honestly such a saddening thought to think that this beautiful space which I poured my heart into will no longer be able to be enjoyed by locals and visitors to our amazing state. The quietening of this particular hum and energy... These are proving to be some very trying and weird times indeed and I am sure for all of us, it is difficult to swallow seeing some of our greatest venues, the arts, music and social spaces so heavily impacted by the current situation... but it is with this as a driving force that we will reflect upon and come through these tough times. Re-invigorated, with greater understanding and inspiration to create an even better space for ourselves, to take stock, rethink our challenges and work our absolute butts off to build a stronger community moving forward. Support local, dream big and most importantly be grateful everyday for what we have right here on our doorstep on this, our beautiful island home lutruwita / Tasmania.
