This occurred to us recently after speaking to builders with whom we stay in regular contact, as they told us that manufacturers and suppliers to the building industry are expecting a big increase in orders leading up to the New Year in WA. This is good news for the suppliers, but not so much for the home builders, as there will be a jump in pricing with timber prices going up by 6%, brick discounts being withdrawn and a ge...neral expectation of price rises across the board. It isnt too late to avoid this if you act soon. At Design & Construct Residential we have long term contracts in place with builders, but once these expire they will be subject to price rises as well, along with the expected labour and trade price pressures. The design we have created for this home is going to make the most of all the features of the block, including upper floor views of the ocean and Rottnest. Since this is a wider block, we have positioned the pool alongside the home so that the lower and upper floors will overlook this relaxing space. This will create a stunning impact on hot, balmy evenings when friends are over being entertained. The streetscape is very important, and we like the home to blend in with its surrounds while bringing a touch of modern sophistication that will remain timeless and look great in years to come.

06.01.2022 Our clients have extensive rural interests, and so required a home allowed them to lock up and leave while providing security for their teenage family who were mostly based at home. We achieved the perfect result by designing the home with two distinct zones. The parents zone was separate with massive master bedroom and huge Bali-style ensuite incorporating a walk-in shower with no glass screens to maintain which is a must for couples these days. We also designed their area to include a study to enable them to run their business from home when they werent spending time at their country residence. #designconstructresidential #luxuryhomes #customhomes

06.01.2022 Although we "can't see the sea for the props", our stunning new home in Ocean Reef is progressing beautifully. Pardon the pun, but we can assure you that the magnificent uninterrupted views of the ocean will become fully apparent once all the props have been removed. The reason for having so many of these props in place is that our clients wished to have spacious clear span rooms on both the ground and upper floors. To achieve this we needed to design the home with a 3 course upper slab to allow for those large spans and maintain strength for the upper floor. We always look at the big picture when designing a new home and consider every aspect to maximise features that the block has to offer.
