24.01.2022 I was so happy when the last little package of hand milled steel and brass tassel holders from Dad in the Uk arrived 4 months late! He has been amazing and it’s been great working on these together. It’s such strange times at the moment and he’s doing well but had a fall a few weeks ago and I’ll need to get his friend to continue making them for me. This friend is a top engineer making bespoke motorbike parts (Stainless Steel Classics) but lovely that he will make some of these for me too! 23.01.2022 Just made! A cute cross-body bag handcrafted using Rockholes fabric by indigenous artist Alice Nampitjinpa Dixon from @ikuntjiartists. The colours are really vibrant, and teemed with a gorgeous soft golden leather it’s a fun and stylish bag. The hand cut leather straps can be removed to become a clutch. Alice paints her fathers country of rockholes (puli) and Sandhills. Her land sounds beautiful and I hope to visit there one day! One side is the softest leather, and the pic shows the unused leather sleeve (from a jacket) it was made from, I left the top stitching highlighted in the bag. 02.01.2022 The bag is finally made! I teemed this luxurious velvet upholstery sample with a soft golden leather back and the chunkiest riri zip that I think was ex-Trenery stock. It works well with chunky metal rings and hand-painted tassel, and painted zip plackets too! A great winter cross-body bag. The brass tassel holders are hand made by my dad in the UK, they took 5 weeks to get here but I’m glad they arrived safely!
