23.01.2022 The fastest purely solar powered cars in the world are likely to start arriving into Port Augusta in 30-60 minutes as part of the solar challenge. They will be arriving around 4:30 until 6pm. (Unless the wind slows them a bit) These cars have come from all over the world and are worth millions each. If you want to see them up close, head out to the BP next to pink lake. They only stick around for a half hour and then they’re away again. Great for the kids.

09.01.2022 Business Port Augusta has announced the line-up for their Twilight Gala next April, as part of the inaugural Green Power Festival - South Australia’s first ever... renewables festival. The headline act will be well-known Adelaide band, Mr Buzzy and The Big Band Theory, who will bring their unique and energetic vibe to Port Augusta for one night only 4 April 2020 in The Barracks. Also on stage will be local singer Gabrielle Ballard’s band, Adelaide-based Abraska. Abraska draws from the whole world for inspiration to create an unpredictable, delightful and unique blend of rhythms and sounds. Accomplished acoustic musician, Andy Killcross, completes the line-up and will be at the Twilight Gala to entertain throughout the night.
