24.01.2022 As you explore Hyden stop off and see the sculptures made from old machinery, implements and scrap metal that tell the history of Hyden, from early times prior to settlement, through to the first tourists in the 1970’s. This project was initiated by local business owners, the Hyden Progress Association and funded by Wave Rock Tourist Development, Government grants and supported by other generous locals. 12 locals volunteered for the project and thanks to the lessons they r...eceived from local farmers the six initial sculptures were completed over four-weekend workshops. A local farmer and sculpture extraordinaire continued with the theme and made most of the remaining pieces laden with aspects of his wonderful humour. Are you heading up for the Summer holidays? 23.01.2022 Exploring The Hump's and Mulka's Cave! A 15 minute drive north of Wave Rock you will see a giant lurching out of the bushland. This massive granite rock formation is known as the Humps grab your hat, sun screen and water bottle and explore the amazing walk trails and learn the legend of Mulka's Cave while you marvel at the Indigenous rock art.
