14.01.2022 How was your weekend @ Julimar State Forest

14.01.2022 Made a start on the hi-line fender mod. Lines are working really well. Will definitely be able to reduce the ride height and have a massive 30 between shock mounts!

13.01.2022 What a weekend! Clean up time

12.01.2022 Had an awesome weekend away competing in the Metal Off-roaders GPS Challenge. The first hill Slowed us up having to winch twice in knee deep cly/mud, then it was all go from there. Had a slight mishap crossing a creek (driver error - oops) which meant Scott was back on the winch! Had a good run from there until we did an axle shaft uni on a big hill climb. Managed to completely destroy it along with the shaft. 20-25 minutes later we were back on the track with a new shaft/uni... joint/hub assembly. Scott took the drivers seat and did a great job (no winching for me!) Tackled a decent that resembled a river before taking on Camel Trophy which was absolutely insane - steep decent so off camber that both passengers side wheels were off the floor. A few more big hill climbs and stage 1 was complete! Onto the second stage.... lost brakes on the way to the first GPS point. Turned out to be a rear cylinder, nothing a set of grips and cable ties couldn’t fix. So we kept going, now with just front brakes and reached the first GPS point. This stage wasn’t being so kind to us as 2km down the track we had a breakage we couldn’t repair on the tracks so headed back to base. (Suspected blown front diff - although on later inspection could be driveshaft TBC!) Had an absolute blast, learnt heaps, met a great bunch of guys and made new friends. More motivated than ever to make the Jeep bigger and stronger to take on the next challenge! Best part, doing it with Scott
