19.01.2022 There is an (almost) overwhelming amount of information flowing about CashFlow Stimulus Boosts, JobSeeker, JobKeeper, turnover tests, eligible or ineligible employers and employees and possibly three times the amount of questions about the same. Along with release of information from the ATO & Treasury, we have been working with our Professional Association to provide you with the right advice and exactly how JobKeeper (and the other stimulus measures) applies to you. We a...re now approaching a bit of a time crunch to make sure all our clients get done what needs to get done in terms of the government timelines. It is not a simple thing, but its absolutely doable! So here are the big notes : Once your March BAS is completed, we can provide you with an estimated $ amount of what you qualify for in surprising news, we have prepared a pretty little spreadsheet to demonstrate this for you! Little more involved 1. Establish if you, as an employer, are eligible (this is based on turnover comparisons and/or forecasts) again, March BAS needs to be complete to begin considering this. Nice and clear, on another fab spreadsheet! 2. If you are eligible, determine which (if any) of your employee/s are eligible (specky spreadsheet #3) * Along with this step, you need to consider if you are able to fund April wages for eligible employees (these need to be paid by April 30th in order to qualify for reimbursement in early May) If you are unable to do this, your decision may be not to register you must do what is best for you and your business! 3. Send out (and collect back) declarations from those eligible employees and prepare to commence the application. 4. Enrol with the ATO (IMPORTANT : this is different from the initial registration you may have already done!) you will need all above information to begin. This process (not confirmed as yet) is to advise ATO of which employees are eligible through you as an employer. Available from April 20th 5. Establish payroll system updates to account for JobKeeper specific guidelines (and, if required, update April payruns to reflect JK inclusions) also ensure you have a clear process for processing JK affected payroll events moving forward. 6. Report turnover / payroll information to ATO each month process not confirmed 7. Receive JobKeeper subsidy payments from ATO In conclusion theres lots to know we wont promise that we know it all (think that would actually be impossible at the moment!!) BUT for anything we cant answer outright, we have access to resources to find you those answers. For now, its important to just get started While we are not always able to answer the phone at the moment, we suggest booking in a time you can follow this link below to book in with Shayne. https://calendly.com/businessinlights/just-get-started

11.01.2022 Small business owners already have a difficult and time-consuming job running their business. If their business is open five days a week, they usually need the weekend to catch up on paperwork, pay bills and manage any tasks they didnt get to during the week. For those with a seven-day-a-week business, theres even less time off. They often feel the need to be onsite any time the business is open, to deal with unanticipated issues, help the staff out, and ensure all tasks are completed. 07.01.2022 TAKE A MOMENT... TAKE A BREATH... TAKE CARE OF YOU... So ... JobKeeper legislation is now law with Royal Assent issued yesterday on 9th April 2020.... The legislation enables the provision of Rules. It is these rules that will outline how the system is to work and then we need the ATO guidance. We are working with our Professional Association to provide you with the right advice and exactly how JobKeeper (and the other stimulus measures) applies to you. The Government Systems are NOT all in place and will take to late April to be put in place. Government are not releasing CashBoost payments until after 28 April and no JobKeeper subsidy will be paid to employers until after 1 May. We will help you through these measures. The March BAS is required! Government require the March BAS as information about the business. We will be processing this work as soon as possible. We are also putting in place systems to work with you to help open the doors again once we are all allowed to return to the new normal after isolation. We will contact you as soon as there are decisions to be made or information to be provided. As always, please contact us to discuss any aspect of the current world, but maybe after Easter.

01.01.2022 Small business owners know that to find a loyal customer base, they have to stand out from their competitors. One of the best, and easiest, ways to do that is to have outstanding customer service. How you treat your customers reflects your entire business. People think positively about businesses that treat their customers and clients well. Unfortunately, many small business owners focus a lot of attention on their products and services, with customer service remaining an afterthought. 01.01.2022 What does it mean for your business? The Coronoavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Australia has managed to challenge every aspect of business operations in an extremely short period of time. Many business owners and managers are scrambling to comprehend what the next few months will hold and how they will get their business through to the other side. Much information is being distributed but, understandably, there are a lot of articles to wade through to find answers as to your best course of action as a business owner or employer.
