01.01.2022 We’ve said it many times, and we’ll keep saying it again. DO NOT spend more than $1000 on your website. We keep seeing and hearing from new coaches who are just starting their business, spending thousands on websites, logo, branding.... When you don’t even have your first client this is a MISTAKE. Why? Because when you’re just starting out you do not KNOW yet what your target market or potential clients want. You THINK you know what your client wants, and that what you’re offering is what they’ll buy. But until you have paying customers it’s all a hypothesis. So spending thousands on a hunch, will quickly get you into trouble. As you’ll be constantly changing your website, your offer, your logo, maybe even your business name. Instead the smarter way is to get something up and running ASAP. In our Launchpad program, we call this the MVP principle or minimal viable product. What is the minimum amount you need to spend to get your offer in front of paying customers and get them to validate your offer i.e. buy from you? There are PLENTY of low cost options out there. In fact, you could get a website up and running for as little as $9 per year! Heck, you might not even need a website. We know of many coaches, us included where our first few clients came from phone conversations and Facebook posts. Only when you have enough paying clients, you’re more established, then consider investing in all that jazz. It’s far more important to get out there speaking to potential clients, than having a fancy website. So get out there now. ? ? . See more
