19.01.2022 A new addition to the team for 2021! I am so excited to announce that we have hired a wonderful graduate teacher- Juliette Oddoux, to begin in 2021. Juliette came for a visit last week and fitted in beautifully. We are very lucky to have her! Anyone who shares my love for chocolate has to be worth their weight in gold Here’s a note from Juliette: Hello my name is Juliette Oddoux! ... I am originally from Noosa Heads up in QLD but came to Victoria to do my teaching degree a few years ago. I love the mountains and for the last 5 years I have been working in the snow at Falls Creek and Japan. I am half Australian, half French so my last name is pronounced ‘Odoo’ like, oh do you want some chocolate? ..... and in case you are wondering, the answer to that question is always yes. I am very excited to be joining your beautiful school. This school provides wonderful learning experiences for the students and I am excited to join you next year!

04.01.2022 Looking for a tree change? We’re Hiring! An exciting opportunity exists to join our team at Devenish Primary School in 2021. We are currently advertising on Recruitment Online, a two year Graduate (graduated within the last four years) Primary Classroom Teacher (F-6)position. Our school has a single F-6 classroom where the principal and graduate teacher team teach for the core learning areas and individually teach the other curriculum areas. This provides for a high level of ...support and mentoring for the graduate teacher and shared responsibility. We have full time aide support, specialist teachers for Auslan, Art and Library as well as specialised intervention programs including speech therapy, not to mention our lovely volunteers who support this wonderful little school. This is a Targeted Funding Initiative position which attracts incentive payments for eligible applicants. This includes an upfront payment of $21000, a $9000 retainer bonus at the end of the 2nd year and each year after that. There are also additional reimbursements that can be claimed for relocation expenses. We are looking for a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who believes that all children can succeed and is willing to learn and work as a team to ensure success for every student.
