25.01.2022 Don't forget!! The Re-dedication Service after the restoration of St. Paul's will actually be held AT ST. JOHN'S at 9:30am tomorrow (due to wet weather forecast). Bishop Richard will be preaching and re-dedicating St. Paul's, we will have a brief morning tea, and then St. Paul's Church will be open for inspection for the next couple of hours. There is also a display of photographs mounted in St. Paul's Hall.

22.01.2022 For those who would like to contribute practical/financial care for those affected by the devastation in Beirut....

22.01.2022 Last Sunday, we had a day of Thanksgiving for all those who have led us and cared for us, through this Pandemic to date. The Premier, Deputy Premier, and Health Minister were at Legana Christian Church for a service of thanksgiving on behalf of the Churches of Tasmania. There were video messages from various church leaders, including Bishop Richard. And this was the Premiers response. https://vimeo.com/444133112

20.01.2022 Good morning all. I'm very sad to say that the weather forecast is not good for Sunday!! We will need to fall back to 'Plan B', which is to hold the Celebration and Re-dedication Service AT ST. JOHN'S instead. We will hold the Service, have a quick morning tea in the 'Carpeted Room', and then those who would like to can head across to ST. PAUL'S for a look through the building, and check out the photographic display, which we will set up in St. Paul's Hall. It's sad, but we will still have a great time of celebration and thanksgiving.

17.01.2022 Sorry, a bit late getting the recording up this week, but here it is.

15.01.2022 Sorry all..... I got the sound right for those on the phone this morning, but not for the FB Stream - it was audible, but distant and echoey - one day, we will get EVERYTHING right at once!!

14.01.2022 A shout-out for assistance.... Does anyone know anyone who has a metal detector they would be willing to lend as a prop for next Sundays "All-age-spot"? It wouldnt even actually get turned on, so should be quite safe....

14.01.2022 We used to live "just up the road"(about 100km) from Glen Innes. This piece in the Glen Innes Examiner by the Anglican Vicar of Glen Innes is very relevant to our times. Blessings, John.

14.01.2022 We look forward to having you "join" us tomorrow, here online. 9:30am live, or reviewed any time later. Tomorrow will he Holy Communion again, so come prepared with some bread and wine or juice. :)

13.01.2022 It is with some sadness that we announced today that I will be leaving Devonport Anglican Church towards the end of the year to take up a position as Associate Minister at Holy Trinity, Launceston. Further detail is spelled out in my Annual Report, delivered to the Parish today. But in short, after six and a half years here, I felt there was much we had achieved in terms of bringing the Parish together, but much that is still needed in terms of growth and financial stability. I believe that someone new, with different skills is needed here. We are hopeful that my move will make way for the next stage of growth. We will still be here until towards the end of the year, and then look forward to what the Lord is going to achieve next!!

12.01.2022 A SPECIAL ALERT!! We are currently having trouble with the office email account - it wont seem to accept incoming mail. If you send a message and have it bounce back, please try texting, phoning, or sending via Johns email address. We are working on trying to fix the problem.

11.01.2022 Lots of organisations put out these sort of useful gift catalogues, but here is one that supports Gospel-centred Anglican projects around the world. :)

01.01.2022 Plan to "come along" this year - not in person, but online. While it wont be as much fun as being there in person, these Training Days are always a great time of equipping - helping to enable us to fulfil our Parish Vision.
