13.01.2022 Magnificent Maranta Prayer Plant

12.01.2022 Do you have FUNGUS GNATS buzzing around your cherished INDOOR PLANTS? These gnats are one of many little mini beasts which naturally occur during the breaking down of organic material such as composts and potting mixes whether it be yours at home or the big pile about to be bagged up by the garden products company, therefore these pesky little flies are almost impossible to avoid. Banish them quickly with this easy to use systemic and highly effective treatment.... Just sprinkle a small amount of these granules on the surface of the potting mix, water your plant and the larvae that live in the top few cms of the pot will die over the next few days. You can swat or spray the adult flies if you wish (be careful not to get fly spray on delicate foliage). Once the gnats have gone if you allow the top couple of cms of potting mix to become nice and dry before each watering it will help a lot as larvae cannot live in dry soil. These two methods used together have worked really well for me and my many houseplants. See more

07.01.2022 Vegepod CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL We were absolutely thrilled to receive this email:- Sent: Wednesday, 27 May 2020 11:31 AM To: [email protected]... Subject: Vegepod progress - huge success Hello lovely people My partner and I bought a Vegepod at Easter (our lockdown/stay at home project) and planted it out with fancy lettuce, baby cos, baby cauli, spinach, parsley, broccolini and broccoli. We put it on bricks to give a little extra height as Martin is tall and has some back issues. The paved area faces north so they are getting heaps of sun and are just far enough away from the eaves to get the NW rain. Weve had feeds of lettuce, parsley and spinach and the flavour is fantastic. I had another pot of parsley on a deck which was devoured by the resident possum 2 nights ago but he cant get at these lovely veg. They are roaring along and I thought I would send you a couple of photos. Feel free to use them on your FB page if you wish. Thanks so much Cathy and Martin Ulverstone Pricing on website in menu under Shop https://vegepod.com.au/

07.01.2022 STANDARD ROSES have finally arrived. Bare rooted and priced at $44.99 and $49.99.

04.01.2022 CAT GRASS Whats all the fuss about?? Its about improving your cats gut health. Signs that your indoor feline may need access to grass is constipation which can often be caused by a build up of indigestible fur from grooming. Did you realise that your cat can spend up to 60% of its awake time grooming! Sometimes cats take to nibbling your indoor plants as they are instinctively trying to find a plant they like to eat for fibre. So when your cat eats cat grass it helps him ...to digest or vomit up his fur balls and will keep him feeling more comfortable and healthy. Generally if your cat has access to grass he will not be interested in eating your precious (possibly toxic) indoor plants. We usually have Cat Grass available in our Herb range for $4.99 or 4 for $18. We suggest that you have a pot of grass inside all the time, one for Puss to eat immediately (which he may demolish before your eyes) and one to replace it. You can repot them into larger pots and put the one that has been eaten down outside in a sunny spot where you can keep it watered and it will grow back ready to be rotated with the spare one. If you wish to grow more yourself we have cat grass seed (it is a particular soft, thin bladed type of grass favoured by cats) in our Mr Fothergills seed range. Happy days for Puss, you and your plants! See more
