25.01.2022 One morning little red riding hood was walking to grandmas house when all of a sudden a big bad wolf dressed as a slick new home salesman jumped out in front of her, " Where are you going?" said the wolf, " I am on my way to building my dream house " said little red. " Come with me " said the wolf. Little red was a little uneasy because the wolf was very pushy and aggressive, " what big teeth you have " said little red, " all the better to bite into your savings and gobble u...p your money " said the wolf. 18.01.2022 What I believe needs to change in the building industry... 1. We need to get back to quality and building for longevity. There is a push in the industry towards building cheap and building fast, and as a result, homeowners are spending money fixing up houses that are only a few years old, because they werent built properly. When houses are just built to be sold, they are usually poor quality and not built to last. This has massive impacts on every area of the system; for ex...ample, there is less demand for quality, less demand for well-constructed materials because they cost more, so there is huge wastage which impacts on the environment along with money wasted on materials that breakdown or arent fit for purpose. Even product warranties are written in a way that there are loopholes so manufacturers can save money without providing a quality product in the first place. Quality is the most important thing when it comes to building it protects your investment and your budget in the long run. See more

12.01.2022 Why you should select a builder first but not just any builder, a builder who uses a Multi Disciplinary approach in designing and building your dream home. Working in isolation back in the 1960s and 70s designing what in todays terms can only be described as basic dwellings was fine. But working in isolation on even the humblest of todays multi faceted and complex projects is a very bad idea. Whether you are putting together a fashion line of dresses or building a hous...e, the best outcomes are achieved when technical and artistic experts work together, with their clients from the outset. The term multi-disciplinary refers to an approach which creates a single team from a range of different disciplines or fields of expertise. A multi-disciplinary approach can tackle complex situations or problems by using the combined skills of different disciplines to develop holistic solutions. In construction, multi-disciplinary teams can be particularly helpful as the complexities of projects become increasingly beyond the capability of a single discipline or person to undertake. The approach was first used in the 1960s and 70s for major public sector projects, where professional disciplines such as architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, planners, economists, and so on, were employed as a single team, rather than a series of independent people working in isolation. 12.01.2022 With air-conditioning systems, like most things in life you get what you pay for. There are also many variables that can affect the functionality of any given system. The ducts used in this house are very large with gentle bend so as not to restrict air flow. Also we have installed an anti condensation blanket under the roof sheeting, this helps control the temperature in the roof space, we have zoned the house through the use of doors and two return air. These all give our client peace of mind knowing that even on the hottest or coldest of days, they can entertain friend and family in comfort.
