23.01.2022 Where is the Green Sheep? Toddlers have been exploring the story of the green sheep, listening to the story read by the educator, giving cuddles to the cuddly green sheep and naming the different colours seen in the book.

22.01.2022 The children in the Nursery room have been enjoying some physical play. The educators set up some experiences to encourage the children to practice their balancing whether it be whilst crawling or walking. Some of the children were able to crawl back and forth on the balance beam whilst others enjoyed the rocking horse. We also encouraged children to push the bike along, again helping them balance. Each experience helped the children begin to understand the control they have over their bodies, spatial awareness, turn taking and gross motor co ordination.

10.01.2022 The Junior Kindy room have been celebrating NAIDOC week, each year during this period celebrations are held Australian wide to acknowledge the history, culture and achievements of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Educator Jade read the Dreamtime story "How The Birds Got Their Colours", told by Mary Albert. The children sat and intently listened as a group to the fascinating story of how the birds got their colours. After the story had finished the children had the opportunity to draw and interpret the parts of the book that interested them, allowing them to use their memory recall and fine motor movement to achieve this.

03.01.2022 Travelling Around the World Today the Kindy children continued on the exploration of different countries and cultures of the world, stopping in at Egypt. Looking at the colourful landscapes, landmarks and the rich history. One of our favourite stops was the pyramids discussing how they were built before machines and electricity. Taking these ideas we decided to working in small groups, pairs and individually to create our own. Check it out
