06.01.2022 I am seeing many posts on my feed talking about venues offering very small amounts of money or a ‘meal deal’ for musicians. I think it would a fair and equitabl...e idea for venues to charge a 15% surcharge on food and drink on days they contract musicians. Surely it can be done at the POS. We, as musicians, care about businesses making a profit. We rely on you staying viable. I do not think your customers will complain about this extra charge as it will help the artists and entertainers back into the workforce so they can pay their bills too. You cannot pay your bills with a food voucher. Support live music. !! See more
