24.01.2022 You probably would not get away with carrying a Japanese Tanto around with you. So we have modified the Tanto to a beautiful mini version in Damascus Steel that can be of course used as a hunting knife. With a 12.5cm blade and and 12.5cm rosewood handle this knife will be the envy of all your friends. It is perfect for such interesting activities as "knife play".

23.01.2022 Sometimes the hunters among us need a serious skinning knife. This is as serious as it gets, with Damascus blade and full tang. Aside from looking totally hot, this sharpens like no other blade and does the job. This is a knife Ramsay Bolton in Game of Thrones would have been proud to own. This knife can be made with or without a gut hook. The finger hole allows for precision skinning in smaller animals or difficult to access areas.

22.01.2022 A kukhri is considered to by some, to be the best "battle knife" ever produced. There is only 1 way to improve a kukhri and that is by making it with a Damascus blade. 21.01.2022 Here is what I think is the ultimate hunting knife. It can be used for skinning as well as dressing, and its tough Damascus construction with full tang can be sharpened to razor sharp. This knife is ideal for the hunter, survivalist, or soldier who carries one main knife which needs to fulfill a range of roles and is super tough.

18.01.2022 Sadly research indicates that much of the Damascus that is currently available from overseas is FAKE. One may ask "how does one produce "fake Damascus steel"? There are 2 main ways. You are probably aware that in traditional Damascus production, as part of the final preparation of a Knife or sword, an acid wash is used to bring out the patterns in the metal. This is quite legitimate. However, some have developed a template which is stuck onto a traditional carbon steel, (eg10...95) which allows for some parts to be affected by acid wash and other parts to be shielded from acid wash. When this adhesive template is removed, there is a pattern on the blade which looks like a Damascus like pattern. There are ways to detect this but usually not until you have the actual knife. The other more sophisticated and high tech way of producing the appearance of Damascus or pattern welded steel is where the pattern is laser printed on the blade. This is more difficult to detect as patterns can be randomly changed and flaws in the patterning are less likely. Some have suggested that up to 50% of imported Damascus is fake. The best way to prevent being ripped off by "Fake Damascus" is to start with a reputable local supplier. Another is to realise that Real Damascus/Pattern Weld, is going to cost more than fake. If the deal is too good to be true, then it is probably fake. I have been caught by fake and I am sure a lot of people have been. 15.01.2022 This is my favourite "hunting knife" With beautiful balance in the hand and a beautifully curved blade - it doubles as a skinner. Some have suggested that it reminds them of a cross between a Bowie and a small Kukhri. This beautifully patterned blade will become an extension of your arm. This knife comes with a beautiful cowhide sheath to finish the package perfectly.

As featured on the TV show "Lucifer" it is referred to there as a "Hell Blade" or a "Demon Knife". Others consider it to be an ideal talking piece, and there are those who use it for what is sometimes known as "Knife Play". Whatever you use it for, with an awesome Damascus blade, it is guaranteed to catch peoples attention

11.01.2022 Damascus Viking Sword blades ready for their furnishings. Only the elite had Damascus blades. The average viking or warrier did not have a sword at all or if they did, it was made out of "Bog Iron" and likely to break. Later in history, the swords improved. All Damascus swords come with an appropriate scabbard. On the Battlefield, a Damascus sword = status, and that is also true today.

05.01.2022 Damascus Steel has been the best steel for blades for over 1500 years and was made not only in Damascus but in Northern and Western Europe by Master Bladesmiths. These blades had unique and individual patterns in the blade and sometimes were referred to as "Pattern Welded". No 2 genuine Damascus blades are identical, each blade is a unique forging of 2 or more types of steel into many layers which comprise the base stock for the finished product which are then ground and poli...shed and have a hand finished handle applied. Base steels for DFA blades include tool steels, high carbon spring steels and mild steels producing both hardness sharpness and flexibility, all within the one blade. Special care instructions are always given with our DFA Damascus products. Importantly, we do NOT supply product "off the shelf" Your Blade is hand made for YOU. This means it may take between 2 - 6 weeks or more to supply your special hand made Damascus blade. Even a small genuine Damascus blade involves a LOT of work in the production, which means blood sweat and occasionally tears, goes into the making of a genuine Damascus blade. Our Damascus Blades are the "Real Deal" and not merely look-alikes with the same pattern etched on hundreds of a standard single steel blade. 04.01.2022 There is an argument that everyone should have a pocket knife. DFA does an awesome Damascus Pocket knife. Just a blade but "What a Blade!!!" Pocket knives may come with more bling than this but never come with a better blade and handle. this pocket knife is fully hand crafted. No 2 are ever alike!

04.01.2022 These magnificent cooking knives will make your house guests drool. There is nothing like Damascus Chef knives from DFA. The biggest problem with these knives is that people are tempted to steal them! All of these knives are full tang Damascus and they can be purchased individually, or as a 5 - 6 knife set. If purchased individually they come with a beautiful and tough cow hide sheath, and if as a set they come with a beautiful knife roll. They sharpen to a razor edge so fingers must be kept safe.
