24.01.2022 Calculus or tartar is a hardened form of plaque that builds up on teeth. Without a good oral hygiene routine that includes both brushing and flossing you can end up with a crusty layer of calculus on your teeth and gums. The use of all our routine equipment like highspeed handpieces and ultrasonic cleaning devices are all allowed. However, please be assure...d that special precautions and strict infection control guidelines will remain in place to minimise transmission of any diseases. Our online booking portal is active and please simply click the link below to make a booking. However, we apologise beforehand, as you may find there is a bit of a wait as everyone is trying to get in for their long overdue clean! https://www.dhealth.com.au/book-dental-appointment-online/ Alternatively you may also call us on (03) 9882 6938. 21.01.2022 ***Important and fantastic news*** Thanks to all our joined efforts, our curve has flattened and looking so promising!!! As a result, The Australia Dental Association has just advised us that the government has eased dental service restrictions to level 2 from the 27th April 2020. This means we are now allowed to repair and place permanent fillings, carry out simple extractions, denture repairs, orthodontic treatments and all emergency services. ... However, there are still a number of procedures that are not recommended. e.g. surgical extractions, elective implant placement etc. It is for this reason that I have maintained the suspension of our online booking system and at this stage, any bookings are still best to be made through by ringing or texting us on 0432 988 269. I will resume online booking once ALL levels of restrictions have been lifted. Lets hope thats not too of a distant future. For all patients with check-up and clean appointments pre-booked, I have placed all of your names on my call-back list and you shall be notified separately. Well done everyone and looking forward to seeing you all soon for all routine non-emergency work!!! -Dr Anna #backinaction #level2 #beatthevirus #happyteeth

21.01.2022 Dental plaque is a thin, sticky substance that is comprised of bacteria and food particles that feed off sugar. When these particles built up on your teeth it can lead to dental decay and a number of other oral health issues. While dentists endeavour to remove plaque at each and every visit, its important that you learn how to prevent prolonged build up at home as well. https://www.dhealth.com.au/how-to-prevent-plaque-build-up/
