15.01.2022 Good morning blowers all!! This Vat was originally born on the banks of this river, the mighty Derwent. Errol Flynn went to school 5mins walk from here, hence this Reserve is named in his honour. Note the white numerals depicting his birth year... A reminder that, 'From little things, big things grow!!'

13.01.2022 Hmm, lunchtime... Anyone for a little bit of the Colonel..?

11.01.2022 The Froth Blowers Membership Philosophy. When you join the Froth Blowers your membership is of the Order and not a specific Vat. Vats are a sanctuary for any Bl...ower to visit knowing that no matter where they are in the world and a Vat is present they are amongst friends. Vats can be area specific or travel any way the wind blows. There are no membership fees or dues required after you have been initiated. The only requirement is to pay the Vats toll which goes to charity. Q. Why are we not required to become a member of a specific Vat? A. Vats are a focal point and we hope will gather a following but as in many Orders that require you to be a member of a Lodge, Shrine, Tent, Circle or whatever they are called when it starts to get a little crowded it can get problematic. Not having to worry about member dues, getting permissions to visit and looking at years to make any sort of progression, the froth Blowers are free as the wind in where they settle. If a Vat is too big then form another if there are 4 of you to start. Q. Can anyone who is a blower visit any Vat? A. Any initiated Blower has every right as a member to visit any Vat regardless of its make up. The Vat may not suit you in any number of ways, distance, in a Pub or Club, teatotalers, coffee house or any other configuration. The only place which may have a restriction is a Mess Hall to which it is best contacting the Vat Typhoon or Hurricane. Q. If don't agree with how a particular Vat is set up what can I do? A. If you feel uncomfortable or a little on the outer for any reason then form your own, simple. You will not be putting anyone's nose out of joint and you will find that the other Vat or Vats will be fully supportive in getting you going. Q. Do I have to visit Vats to keep my membership? A. There is nothing to compel you to visit a Vat, once you have paid your membership fee which is a once only payment and been initiated you never need to visit a Vat ever again. We would encourage you to get involved but its always your choice and you can support us in many other ways in supporting our initiatives from your couch! Q. There are no Vats near me and there are not many people where I live. A. The Froth Blowers membership caters for you in its philosophy. If there is no Vats then become an online member. You do the same initiation and you can join any Vat online worldwide as well as any Online Vats like WWW Vat 00. When a Vat is Tapped online you pay the toll for entry as you would a physical Vat. As a member you get all the benefits given by the Order. (Except being helped home on the odd occasion). Q. What is a "Toll"? A. To take part in a Tapped Vat (otherwise known as a meeting or "Sesh") you must pay an entry fee. This would be the price of a beer, coffee, milkshake or however the Vat is laid. This goes into the charity fund. If for any reason you are the recipient of a fine by singing to loudly or any other of the Vats indiscretions list you are politely "asked" to stump up. The more serious side of the toll is that it allows you to vote on any motion within the vat you are visiting or in general.
