24.01.2022 Taking care of yourself and your glucose levels during this time is important. Make sure you have some Ketone strips at home just in case and that you are keeping you glucose levels as stable as possible. If you are feeling well but stressed you may need to increase you insulin doses slightly. People over the age of 60 with diabetes should self isolate. Stay safe. If you need any feel free to contact me. Nadine

15.01.2022 ** HAPPY NP WEEK 2020 ** Today, kicks off Nurse Practitioner Week 2020 in Australia. Running from the 07-13 December 2020, NP Week is celebrated in 2020 by the ...theme "NPs, Writing Our Own Story; Helping You With Yours..." The road to becoming a NP is extensive, often unique and viewed as a privilege by Nurse Practitioners. Each Nurse Practitioner has a different story, and with NP's practising in Australia for over 20 years now, Nurse Practitioners are having to write their own stories, pave their own way, so that all patients and future generations can have access to quality health care. Be involved in your special week by hosting your own celebration, or check out all the activities taking place around the Country. We also have plenty of virtual activities planned for you, which you can find listed on the ACNP website. Enjoy your special week NPs! https://www.acnp.org.au/np-week #npourstory #np #connct #together #beinvolved #nurses2020

Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) shares many char...acteristics with type 2 diabetes, however there are some important distinctions. LADA is an autoimmune disease, and people diagnosed will likely need to begin taking insulin within 5 years.
