25.01.2022 We have stepped through the first two phases of returning to face to face Scouting. The third step commences on 29 June 2020, still with some physical distancin...g, plenty of cleaning and a limit of 100 people! - Group Leaders or Presidents of Group Support Committees to ensure surfaces and equipment cleaned after use. - Activities to commence with an education session - setting the physical distancing and cleaning rules (including hands) out. - if you are sick or even think you may be coming down with some sickness, please stay at home to get better and not make others sick. And, since we are heading back to a new normal, we will also be going back to: - normal activity approval processes in place! The big tips - follow the rules (local laws and Scouting requirements), stay safe and have fun! More updates during the week to ensure that the rules are very clear. #ScoutingReturns #StaySafe #RestartAdventures #NextWeek See more

21.01.2022 Are you ready to take it to the next level? AJ22, the 26th Australian Jamboree, is open for expressions of interest. AJ22 is set for January 22 in Elmore Victoria. If you will be a Scout on 14 January 2022, you may be eligible to join in one of the most amazing parts of a Scout's journey. This might include people who are currently Cubs!... You can find all the things you need to know here: https://www.aj2022.com.au/. We will talk about it on parade as well. Most importantly, if you want to go you can make an obligation free expression of interest. This is a way for organisers to work out who is interested, while managing and monitoring the status of COVID.

06.01.2022 Koorala familes please keep an eye out for an email about Scouting@home for Term 2. One new challenge from our Scouts ACT Chief Commissioner is to imagine Scouting one year from now. Rick has said "We have all wondered where we will be a year from now, what will be different, what will stay the same. I set you a challenge and ask that you, either singularly or in a Unit, put your imagination to work and imagine Scouting a year from now. What will Scouting look like?" Add yo...ur ideas to the comments section in this post, on the ScoutsACT site, email Rick directly ([email protected]) or send Birbui or Wolverine an email and we will make sure your voices are heard and shared with out own Unit Council. Stay safe!

04.01.2022 Dear Diamantina Families ANZAC Day is an important aspect of Australian culture, and something with which Scouting has had a long association. As part of the Scouting at Home initiatives, which we will send more out on soon, Scouts Australia has set up some ideas for how you can support ANZAC day with your family. Check out the ideas here: https://scouts.com.au//03/28/their-service-our-heritage-2/. You might attend an at home dawn vigil, bake some cookies, or make wreathes.... Recognising the unusual situation Scouts Australia have advised Scouts who can demonstrate participating in three of the options listed on the website will be eligible to earn the ‘Their Service, Our Heritage’ badge. Please pay your respects how best works for you, and remember to take some pictures or journal notes to tell us about it if you want to earn the badge as well.
