16.01.2022 Who feels super stiff in their back and shoulders?? These great active flexibility stretches & exercises will help with everything from your knot/twisty grip, ballerinas, eagles, serpentines and more! . ACTIVE FLEXIBILITY is the range of motion a joint can move into without an external force helping it go there. This type of flexibility relies largely on your strength muscles fibers to achieve the stretch, not aided by things such as your hand or a band. Active flexibility plays a large role in getting into different moves on the pole. . Always be aware of your limits when stretching and never push yourself too hard. We highly recommend learning from a trained instructor, especially when it comes to back & shoulders! Why not try BENDY BACK with Amy, Fridays at 6.30pm!

01.01.2022 Jacintas here to help us find our T-ZONE with some analogies that we bet youve never heard in a pilates class anywhere else . Technically, the term T-Zone refers to the activation of two muscles, the transversus abdominus and the pelvic floor. Its known as the "T-Zone" because when we activate these two muscles, we visualise a capital letter T drawn on the front of the pelvis (watch Jacintas very last analogy to hear a super helpful visualisation technique for this!) . Join us for Pilates - the Diamond Dance way - Thursdays at 6pm!
