25.01.2022 Happy birthday to our not gone for long educator Riikka she loves us so much she returned for a casual day today we are so lucky she chose to spend her special day with us and we look forward to the celebrations with her today

25.01.2022 How lucky are we.Today we had a visit from our local Kiama library. Not only did they donate their time but also a number of big books, library bags and books for the children to take home and keep. The children loved learning about our local library and reading new stories with you. Thank you again for your time.

20.01.2022 Today we say farewell to our amazing educator Riikka and wish her the best as she starts her own business in before and after school care. We are so happy for her and proud of her for taking this big step which can be daunting, starting anything new. But we know she will do so well, she is so passionate and has a heart of gold! Thank you for always being so hard working and for everything you have done since the opening of Dido. We will miss you

20.01.2022 A big happy 21st birthday to our educator Olivia We hope you enjoyed your day enjoying birthday festivities, yummy treats, special lunch and lots of birthday wishes!

19.01.2022 R U OK DAY What a great time days like this create in reminding us all to check in more on one another, be kind to each other and show you care! A conversation can change a life! The children took part in face painting, group discussions on feelings and what and who makes you happy. The children painted the pictures of these things and also decorated yellow love hearts to mark the occasion. The day ended with the team each taking turns going on an afternoon walk with ...the Director around the block to have a conversation on R U OK? We hope the day promoted smiles for all and had a positive impact in some way

13.01.2022 The educators at Dido Street ELC took part in an evening of professional Development last night The evening focused on various communication styles and studying what our style is. We learnt how as a team we can use these styles to our advantage on pairing together different colours (communications styles were yellow, green, red and blue) to learn from one another and knowing approaches to take in collaboratively working together. The evening was a fun, interactive and hands on approach to understanding communication and it had us all laughing, joking and walking away knowing something new about ourselves that we didn’t know before. A big thank you to our presenter Guy from @actioncoach_wollongong who had us engaged and laughing the entire time. We can highly recommend this workshop to others it was fantastic

04.01.2022 Amy Molloy is one of our Dido St Mummy’s as well as a journalist, editor and award-winning author who produces uplifting content for the biggest names in global publishing. Recently Amy donated her book ‘how to recycle your feelings’ to our preschool. This book helps children understand how they can reduce, reuse and recycle their feelings and emotions. Sometimes, we all end up with too many emotions,... Or emotions we don’t have a use for anymore But that doesn’t mean you have to throw them away. Because no emotion is ever really a waste. Thank you so much Amy for sharing your amazing book with us. Our children love love love story time when we read this story. @amy_molloy
