25.01.2022 Don't miss out on trials for the Football Queensland Wide Bay Talent Support Program (TSP) and Skill Acquisition Phase (SAP) program for 2021. Registrations are... now open for all Wide Bay participants aged between nine and 16 who are interested in trialling for the TSP and SAP programs, with trials to be held in Bundaberg and the Fraser Coast. Players wishing to trial for SAP or TSP must attend both sessions for the program in their region but do not have to attend sessions in both Fraser Coast and Bundaberg. Find out more: bit.ly/35L0sv1

25.01.2022 With the forecasted wet weather tomorrow we thought it’s a good time to remind our club members of our WET WEATHER PROCEDURES! TRAINING Diggers FC Wet Weather Policy, for training, is as follows: Training for ALL junior teams (U6-U16) will be cancelled when there is a Heavy Storm &/or Constant Lightning during training, flooding or constant soaking rain. A light shower will NOT cause cancellation. Coaching staff and social media will be notified, no later than 1 hour prior... to training. Please check our Facebook page first, before contacting coaching staff. Senior training will be at the discretion of the senior coaching staff. GAME DAYS Football Bundaberg control the grounds that we play on. Their ground staff, along with the head of referees, will make a decision, when there is adverse weather conditions that deem the fields unsafe to play on. Football Bundaberg will also use social media to inform all members of field closures. Please check their Facebook page (Football Bundaberg Inc). Diggers Facebook page will also advertise, once informed by Football Bundaberg. If there is NO cancellation, on social media, games are on. Any changes during game day will be decided on, by the match officials, at the venue.

24.01.2022 2021 COACH & PRE-SEASON TRAINING: Diggers FC are proud to announce the appointment of Michael Sharpy Sharp as our Wide Bay League Coach for 2021! Michael has a wealth of football knowledge, and has previously coached a number of junior competition age teams with Diggers FC in the past as well as Senior Coaching roles at the former Burnett Heads United FC. Michael has been working vigorously on player recruitment since his interim appointment 3 weeks ago, securing a number ...of exciting signings for the 2021 WBL teams. Diggers invites New & Existing Wide Bay League Players to attend the first pre-season training session commencing THIS Thursday, 3 December (6:15pm for a 6:30pm Start). 15.01.2022 GAME DAYS When attending Martens Oval on weekends, you will be required to do the same QR Check In & Out Procedure as training (using the Martens Oval QR code). Also, unfortunately due to safety restrictions, the ONLY Entry & Exit Points are on Miller St directly in front of the Waves, so please allow extra time to make your way to the grounds. Your Child will be handed their playing shirt at their first game, due to hygiene requirement...s, the coaching staff will not be collecting these after each game, you are to take your Child's shirt home each week. They will be collected again in the last week of the season. NB: Club Shirts are very expensive, these shirts are not to be worn out & about or at home. The Club is happy for players to wear their shirts to the game, however we would encourage a change of shirt once the game has concluded. See more

All returning and new members welcome, all divisions.... Dates for Women’s & Junior Competition Age Trainings will be announced in the coming fortnight. Information regarding 2021 registrations and fees to come next week.

07.01.2022 Update: Football Bundaberg Inc has indicated that all Miniroos & Junior games are going ahead this morning. Please feel no pressure for your child to participate today if you do not want your child out in this weather. However, please advise your child's coach if you do choose to keep your kid/s at home today. **Reminder - If your child is displaying any Flu like symptoms, the rules dictate they are NOT to participate in any Games or trainings. Player safety comes 1st!

05.01.2022 REMINDER - NO JUNIOR TRAINING OVER THE HOLIDAYS: There will be no junior training for U6 to U14 over the schools holidays.
