23.01.2022 Our next speaker Stephen Coffey is the Engagement Manager, Ericsson. Over the last 5 years, Stephen has lead global and regional teams within Ericsson to drive the evolution of Mobile Broadband networks for advanced and emerging markets. Most recently, Stephen collaborated with industry and operators to drive opportunities created by Cellular Internet of Things and 5G. Stephen was actively involved in Ericsson’s 5G program that brought cutting edge, 5G technology to Australia... and other South East Asian countries. Before moving back to the Asia Pacific region, Stephen was part of Ericsson’s Radio Business Unit in Stockholm responsible for driving Network Evolution programs with customers, as well as through industry events such as Mobile World Congress. Prior to this, Stephen worked in Australia, UK and Germany and had key roles in the deployment and evolution of GSM, WCDMA and LTE. He has experience covering public policy, strategy and regulation and focuses on the intersection between technology, economy and society, and focuses on the Australia market, advising TMT clients as well as city authorities on technology enablement. Mohammad has held executive positions in PwC, Vodafone and IBM based in London, Washington, D.C., Johannesburg..., Cairo, Mumbai, Jakarta and Melbourne. At Vodafone he acquired the operator’s first fiber license and led strategy for the Group’s emerging markets across 200m+ subscribers.
