25.01.2022 TDMC Marketing Tip The 4-1-1 concept comes from Andrew Davis, author of Brandscaping. Davis social media sharing strategy dictates that for every six pieces of content shared on social media: 4 should be content from other industry influencers that is relevant to your audience... 1 should be your own original, educational content 1 should have a sales aspect (coupon, product news, press release), aka, a piece of content most people will simply ignore. The philosophy behind the 4-1-1 concept is that when you share industry thought leadership, youre building relationships within the industry and demonstrating a certain level of selflessness which earns serious reputation points that come in handy in the long haul. #MarketingTip #TDMCTips #marketingmonday #socialmedia #411

03.01.2022 HAPPY LABOUR DAY (WA)! What is Labour Day? Labour Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers. In the early 19th century, most labourers worked 10 or 12 hour days for six days each week.... On 21 April 1856, in Melbourne, the stonemasons workers staged a well-organised protest. They downed tools & walked to Parliament House with other members of the building trade. Their fight was for an eight-hour day, effectively a 48-hour week to replace the 60-hour week. The government agreed to an eight-hour day for workers employed on public works, with no loss of pay. Labour Day is also often referred to as May Day around the world. Internationally it is celebrated on 1 May and is known as International Workers Day in more than 80 countries. References: https://publicholidays.com.au/labour-day/
