25.01.2022 There was another great turnout for golf this weekend in Dimboola with 22 players on Saturday for a Stableford round. Meaghan and Gary Pohlner were the winners of the B Grade and A Grade.

23.01.2022 Golf Championships and Victoria Monthly Medal. The Dimboola Golf Club had a successful first weekend back to competition golf with 22 members competing for the Victoria Hotel Monthly Medal and the fourth round of the Championships playing a stroke round.

23.01.2022 MENNA Bamford was one of the first Ambulance Community Officers in Victoria when she started back in 2003. Her retirement from the role this year, marked 18 years of service to Ambulance Victoria. Paramedic and team leader at the Dimboola ambulance station, Shaun Thomas said that Ms Bamford had been an invaluable member of the ACO team.



22.01.2022 Dimboola RSL has elected a new president to run the sub-branch, with Brian Bolsworth stepping into the role. Mr Bolsworth has been a member of the branch for the last six and a half years and acted as vice president for the last two.

15.01.2022 An update on the $1.2 million Wimmera River Discovery Trail was provided in last week’s Hindmarsh Shire Council meeting. A series of pedestrian bridges and crossovers will be built as part of the trail and includes two planned for near the Dimboola Visitor Node in Nine Creeks Reserve, two in the Dimboola Common and a crossover on private land on the outskirts of Dimboola.

14.01.2022 A Total Fire Ban (TFB) has been declared for the Mallee and Wimmera fire districts for tomorrow Tuesday 1 December 2020. Tomorrow’s conditions in the Mallee and Wimmera will be hot and dry, with temperatures reaching as high as 35 degrees.

The largest funding upgrade will be along the Albacutya Bridge and road, receiving a combined $2.14 million to construct a dual lane bridge in replacement of old single lane bridge as well as widening 1.2kms of road, which is a heavily used truck route.
