25.01.2022 The Mullumbimby Specials produced by crossing a Cream Legbar (blue eggs) rooster with a Wheaten Marans (dark red brown eggs) hen are now all laying and producing an abundance of winter eggs in extraordinary colours- pastel green, olive and earth tones. I’ll definitely have a go at breeding more of these beauties this spring.

22.01.2022 Dingo Lane British White steer awarded first place in carcase competition Wingham Beef Week (light middleweight section). Congratulations Yan Kleynhans and team at Chatham High School for great job preparing and showing him.

22.01.2022 I’m having enough trouble finding my British White cows in this pasture, let alone the 21 new calves hidden in here somewhere. You have to be super careful just driving around. So difficult to remember how the farm looked just a few short months ago during the drought.

21.01.2022 Spring calving at Dingo Lane kicked off this morning with the arrival of this perfect purebred British White heifer calf. This is the fourth calf in four years from this registered A grade cow and will be a welcome addition to the herd coming from this maternal line with outstanding fertility, calving ease and temperament. Getting back in calf within two months of the previous calving and during the worst drought on record is a testament to the hardiness of the breed.

18.01.2022 Plumed Whistling Ducks are only occasional visitors to Dingo Lane. What a thrill to find this pair on the farm dam this morning with nine newly hatched ducklings.

16.01.2022 Visitors to the farm are finding it very hard to refrain from cuddling the newborn British White calves. Luckily the gentle mothers are so understanding.

14.01.2022 This purebred British White steer from Dingo Lane has secured the Adele rule Trophy for Chatham High School - school with highest scoring carcase at Wingham Beef Week. Congratulations Yan Kleynhans and Chatham High School.

11.01.2022 Oblivious to the craziness outside, another new life greets the world this morning. This little purebred bull calf is the 18th addition to our British White herd this season. Only two more calves to arrive.

05.01.2022 Jovial friends pop by to join us for early morning coffee on the verandah.

03.01.2022 Congratulations Yan Kleynhans and the team at Chatham High School. You've done a magnificent job preparing our British White steer for the competition. He looks magnificent. Good luck! at the Ekka!!

01.01.2022 Five young registered purebred British White bulls have left Dingo Lane in recent months to do their job in herds to the south in Taree, NSW, the west in Casino, NSW and the north in Murwillumbah NSW and Injune, Qld. Purchasers that collected their bulls in trailers couldn't believe how these extremely quiet animals were happy to step up into the trailer for a lucerne reward. Expect some great calves from these boys.
