25.01.2022 Good Afternoon Parents and Carers, We are in the process of improving the garden beds at the entrance to the school. We are currently working with Bunnings in Sunshine who will be donating the goods.... We need some helpers who will be able to do the man/women power of digging, adding clay breaking products and plants. If you have your own gardening equipment that will be great. There is no date set at the moment to do the works, but will be in the next 2-3 weeks. Can you please comment here if you are free and we will work out dates. Kylie (prep mum) will contact you to work out dates. Thank you, Kylie Gowinda

24.01.2022 STUDENT FREE DAY (CURRICULUM DAY) MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2. Dear Parents/Carers... Each school receives 4 student free days each year to work on planning, professional development and writing reports. The first day of the year is one of these days and we had another earlier in the year. Dinjerra will be using our third day for staff to collate the data they have collected over the remote teaching time and since your children have returned to prepare for writing your children’s final reports for the year. No students are to attend as the teaching staff will not be available. Kelly Club will be providing an all-day program operating out of Christ the King around the corner. Please contact Nanda on 0466 665 941 if you wish to take up this offer. Please don’t forget that Tuesday, November 3 is Melbourne Cup Day, a public holiday and there will be no school. Graeme Smith Principal

23.01.2022 Hello Families, My name is Kylie and my son Jordan is in Prep this year. As you all can see, when the buildings were finished, there was no money left to improve the gardens. I am volunteering my time to improve the garden beds at the entrance of the school this year. Bunnings in Sunshine will be donating all the products but due to Covid, they cannot help do the work this year.... This is where I need help, 1 to 2 hours help from anyone would be brilliant. The more help, the quicker it will be completed. I am collecting the first load of products on the 12th of November. Please call or text me to let me know if you would like to help and when. Kylie 0404698997 It can be completed any day, during school hours or afternoon too. If you have time, I can let you know where a small part that needs doing. This can be completed on your own or in a group. The more hands, the easier the job. Thank you, Kylie

20.01.2022 Good Afternoon Parent/Carers, Staff are working out how students are going academically so that they can adjust their teaching to help overcome any issues that may have arose over the remote learning period. To help achieve this and to get the data required to write reports, next Monday, Melbourne Cup Eve, November 2, will be a Student Free Day School will not run for any student on the day. ... Kind regards, Graeme Smith - Principal

13.01.2022 Today was an amazing day at Dinjerra, students came in their fancy dress. I was so impressed on how they participated with the games that were on at recess and lunch. Well done everyone! #dinjerraproud

10.01.2022 Dinjerra Book Fair is on 30th November to 4th December. It will be in our school library.

09.01.2022 Working Bee: Saturday 21.11.20 Last Saturday morning, an intrepid group of diggers attacked the front garden beds of Dinjerra. The soil provided by the builders, following the building of the new parts of the school was extremely poor. Although weeds grow happily, any plants requiring nutrients will struggle. Led by Kylie Gowinda (Parent) who had the idea in the first place and joined by Agung, Jordan, Zoe, Elena, Marie, Mehmet, Esra, Barry, Yira and Mary (a community memb...er who read about it on Facebook), the troupe attacked the clay with an apparent relish. Kylie had made also contact with Bunnings Sunshine who donated equipment, plants and soil improver so without Kylie’s enthusiasm to beautify the school, nothing would have happened. Small schools are unable to employ a ground’s person or even a handy-person to look after the gardens due to the way the school’s budget is provided so support like this is wonderful. So thank you to all who gave up their Saturday morning and a special thank you to Kylie for organising the morning and for contacting Bunnings. See more

07.01.2022 Check out the new lego blocks that have been purchased at Dinjerra P.S. Our students loved playing with the blocks during play time today.

04.01.2022 A student gave this to Mr Graeme yesterday, it was a very kind message from one of our students regarding Covid-19.
