24.01.2022 Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far-reaching effects. #positivity #wellbeing #lifecoach #mindsetiseverything #mindyourhealth #mentalhealth #mindset

21.01.2022 The things you see don’t change, unless you change the way your see things . So maybe all those things you’ve been putting off need to take priority, and that means that you might have to eat the frog first .. What does eat the frog mean ? The frog is that one thing you have on your to-do list that you have absolutely no motivation to do and that you're most likely to procrastinate on.... Eating the frog means to just do it, otherwise the frog will eat you meaning that you'll end up procrastinating it the whole day, week, month, or even the whole bloody year .. Yes that’s right it’s time to get shit done and get moving. #motivation #resolutions #2021 #mindset #procrastination

21.01.2022 I could sit here and write something deeply profound and meaningful but the picture says it all .. Actually come to think of it, I can give you something to think about . You know what it’s been a tough 7-8 months for everyone and for me and my family it’s probably been a shitty 2 years with plenty of of crap been thrown at us . But you know what we can either sit back and let it hold us down in the pit of unhappiness and despair or we can shake off each bit of crap thrown ...our way, step on it and climb our way out of our hole .. Have you heard the story of the donkey in the well One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out a way to get him out. Finally he decided it was probably impossible and the animal was old and the well was dry anyway, so it just wasn't worth it to try and retrieve the donkey. So the farmer asked his neighbors to come over and help him cover up the well. They all grabbed shovels and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, when the donkey realized what was happening he cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement, he quieted down and let out some happy brays. A few shovel loads later, the farmer looked down the well to see what was happening and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was shaking it off and taking a step up. (Shifting) As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he continued to shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, to everyone's amazement, the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off! Moral: Life is going to shovel dirt on you. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Every adversity can be turned into a stepping stone. The way to get out of the deepest well is by never giving up but by shaking yourself off and taking a step up. What happens to you isn't nearly as important as how you react to it. #resilience #mindset #mentalstrength #mindyourhealth #athletewellbeing #employeewellbeing #wellbeing Wellbeing Science Institute

18.01.2022 ACTIONS & DISCIPLINE CREATE CHANGE Newton's first law states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force. ... The third law states that for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction. If you want to change then you must take action . If Newton’s law of physics is then taken into account each action creates change . ... So make your actions positive ones and then every effort will be rewarded . But you must be disciplined to create sustainable change because when motivation fails discipline prevails . Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment . When you’re disciplined every action is rewarded . #positivity #wellbeing #athlete #sport #athletewellbeing #staffwellbeing #business

17.01.2022 Mental strength is the ability of an individual to effectively deal with challenges, pressure, and stressors to present their best performance regardless of the circumstances. ... To have mental strength means being aware of your emotions and thoughts and work with them to choose your actions. #resilience #mentalstrength #wellbeing #athletewellbeing #employeewellbeing

17.01.2022 Don't Fear Failure: Our mistakes and failures are gifts, gems, guideposts in our learning and growth as people. So embrace failures, mistakes, screw ups and sho...rtcomings because they not only make us uniquely who we are, but also teach us powerful lessons. To put that into perspective, try to reflect on all the powerful lessons have you learnt over your lifetime. The word mistake derives meaning only by comparison to what we desire, what we see as success. Noticing and admitting our mistakes helps us get in touch with our commitments--what we really want to be, do, and have. Mistakes wake us up and focus our attention like a flashing sign that says "fix this". The urgency created causes us to focus on issues or problems that make us feel off track. Working on possible solutions, redefining what we want or expect, or reexamining our values or goals can lead us to more clarity about our path. Mistakes teach us to engage in our lives -- to live fully. #wellbeing #mindset #lifechallenges #learning #athletewellbeing #mindfulness

16.01.2022 Turn today’s shit into tomorrow’s fertiliser! Shitty days happen. They happen to Tony Robins, they happen to the Dalai Lama, they happen in outer space and they happen to people who plan on having really fantastically good days. They happen to people who have very little in life and to people who have an abundance of things they don’t need. Hear that.? Someone just had a shitty day. Just now.... I’m not here to help you rise above your shitty day, I’m here to tell you it’s gets better and there’s lessons in everything. We get bombarded all the time with images and messages telling us that we’re not allowed to be sad, or frustrated or unhappy or annoyed. We’re told to snap out of it, carry on, smile and shrug it off or we may actually run the risk of being one of those emotionally vulnerable people from the 90’s. Gross. This obsession with being strong and happy is completely negating one important fact of the human experience. Shitty days. Times when people we trusted let us down or things we worked towards begin to fail. One shitty day might even knowingly be the beginning of more shitty days to come becausesometimes awesome things require a concentrated supply of shitty days that precede it. I don’t think you should ignore that you’ve had a shitty day today. I don’t think you should pretend you won’t have a shitty day tomorrow. Instead, embrace the lessons. What’s making you feel shitty? Change it. Evolve beyond it, fight against it. How can you avoid it in the future? Do it, plan it, write it down. Whether the change needs to come from what you accept about another person, what you accept about yourself or what you spend your time focusing on you are capable of creating change in your life based on what is uncomfortable to you. #mindset #resilience #athletewellbeing #employeewellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalstrength

15.01.2022 The learning opportunities never stop .. Remember what the flight attendants say during the safety briefing.. Always fit your oxygen mask first before helping others .. In other words we are useless to each other and ourselves if we don’t put our own self care first and part of self care is learning from mistakes. ... Mistakes are healthy , they help us grow into better humans.

13.01.2022 Does your head feel like a pressure cooker because of the demands or changes to your job? Is all the drama in your family sitting on your chest like a boulder. https://www.oceanroadmagazine.com.au/simple-ways-to-self-m/

13.01.2022 Once again it’s finals time in Queensland footy and yes one of our AFL clubs that we assist with player wellbeing is into the finals . Not only did all their senior teams and colts teams make finals but both the Senior mens and Women’s Teams are 1 step away from making it into a Grandfinal .. Its a big weekend ahead this weekend for both teams and we are super excited for the Sherwood Magpies AFC and wish them the best luck. The team success and effort is not only a credit t...o the club’s board and coaches and the amazing volunteers but also to the playing groups commitment which started early this year on their pre season camp .. Well done to everyone we wish you every success .. #berg

13.01.2022 7 weeks post Achilles Surgery and I’m happy with the progress . Rest assured I’m not pushing it and I’m following my doctors and physios advice . While this injury is a serious one and can be seen as a setback , it’s also teaching me patience, making me listen to my body and to slow down.. There’s lessons in everything we do in life we just have to be prepared to listen and look for those lessons .. ... If you’re an active individual, the last thing you may want to think about is what you’ll do if you find yourself suddenly sidelined by an injury. Broken bones, torn tendons and damaged muscles could all keep you from doing what you love for an extended period of time. Instead of wallowing in pain and misery while your body puts itself back together, consider harnessing the power of positive thinking. It sounds silly, but science has proven that mindfulness and positive thinking can actually help improve your pain tolerance and speed up the rehabilitation process. With that in mind, here are some tips, tricks and strategies to help you stay positive during your recovery period. Stay as active as possible , both physically and mentally . Don’t wallow in denial, accept the process , make a plan and get on with things.. Learn about the healing process and what your body and mind needs to be at its best to recover . Remain positive and optimistic, Studies have shown recently that remaining optimistic can help you boost your immune system. For the longest time, researchers thought that optimistic people were simply more likely to take care of their health, but recent studies have proven that it’s actually the act of maintaining a positive attitude that bolsters your immune system. The best thing you can do to help yourself stay positive during your recovery is to be patient with yourself. You will heal, and as long as you don’t do anything unwise during your recovery, you’ll soon be back to your old selfor you’ll become even stronger than before! #mindset #wellbeing #athletewellbeing #positivity #wholisticwellbeing

11.01.2022 Quite an insightful and educational view of Coaching, Leadership, The Hawthorn Footy Club and Alastair Clarkson from Damien Carroll I feel the strength lies in the people and their leadership qualities, great 2 way communication to accept feedback and have total honesty in giving feedback and most of all the complete buy in at all levels . : How the hawthorn dynasty came about, clarko, training myths and more! #coaching #mindset #wellbeing #leadership... https://youtu.be/d038GWASOXY

09.01.2022 Back to the start The further I get from my beginnings, the more clearly I see that who I am and what I am here to do is wrapped up in my DNA. Not a simplistic response to my genetic code, but appreciation of the unique essence of who I am created to be. And the seeds that have been planted along the way that thrive in my ‘me-ness’. Whilst some of the seeds take time to germinate and I have to both wait and cooperate with that process they are still there. And they share ...a likeness. We know from managing the valley with its diverse habitats, that different organisms plants, birds, animals, insects prefer different places to thrive. Yes, I know that we can function out of our natural environment for a time. But we don’t thrive and it’s a relief to be on home-ground again. I’m not talking about whether it’s easy or not Just whether we can flourish. Bring our true selves and offer our best contributions. Others sense it too. Looking back to the start can help us discern the patterns that aren’t so clear when we’re close up and in the middle of things. What do we notice about what was going on when we were in our best space? When did we have the sense of being fully alive and present? What has stood the test of time? These characteristics rarely fit a label. You are not in a box. But perhaps they show up as a narrative, which gives you a sense of direction and purpose. The story that is your life, and no-one else’s. The thing about real stories is that they are never finally over, just paused or in transition. They don’t stand alone, they are part of a much bigger drama. And the end is where we start from. #tseliot #mindfulness #wellbeing #reflection

LIVIN and the #itaintweaktospeak message he will always be right beside us as we endeavor to break the stigma of mental health.
