05.01.2022 Our director @mertber attended the 26th Altin Koza Film Festival in Turkey (@adanaaltinkozaff) representing the @districtfilms.au production "Crossfire" - see what he had to say: "This week I attended my first ceremony for my short film "Crossfire" which was a finalist for Best International Short Film at the 26th Adana Altin Koza Film Festival. During the ceremony I discovered from the jury, that the film was selected from 3500 submissions to the festival, so I felt incredi...bly honored that my film was selected from such an amazing array of films being made in our era. We didn't take home the Golden Boll, but witnessing an entire festival audience & jury experiencing our film, gasping in the beats that we constructed, leaning further back & sinking in their seats in the moments of designed tension, the jury asking philosophical & technical questions post seeing it - for me, that was the award, and I have my entire creative team to thank for that. Attending this prestigious festival has opened new doors however, having made some key connections throughout the week - and discussing future projects.. all I can say is stay tuned..!
