25.01.2022 Farming girls problem, when your husband ploughs up your walking track . Time to find a new path.

25.01.2022 Busy morning (on my day off), preserves pears and a chicken pie.

23.01.2022 Fresh orange juice today. Easily squeezed using my mixmaster attachment. Frozen in recycled pop tops and used in lunchboxes as a freezer block.

21.01.2022 Todays project, this one for me, a camera pouch. Lightweight enough and hopefully with enough protection for travelling. Added a buttonhole for the strap and a pocket for spare battery and memory cards.

20.01.2022 Do you know how sometimes you think you are organised for whatever project you are starting? Thank you to good neighbours for the onions I thought I had.

19.01.2022 New beanie for Missy. Messy bun beanie. Came out better than I expected.

Simmer together for 10 minutes Mash and strain. Bottle and refrigerate. The consensus is yummy See more

13.01.2022 Poffertjes, or Dutch pancakes for smoko this morning. I was cleaning the pantry and came across the Dutch pancake maker I bought a few years ago (and used once or twice) and got sidetracked. The consensus is that I should keep it and keep on making them (for practice ). Lots of practice will be needed. First batch a bit burnt (I was slow in turning them).

13.01.2022 I've signed up to participate in the Heart Foundations MotivApril challenge - to walk 250,000 steps in April. Who is going to join me? https://divafarmdays.blogspot.com//establishing-routine.ht

11.01.2022 This mornings project, some storage cubes and a seat for Isabels room. I covered some MDF squares with foam and material (thanks to last years Christmas gift from hubby, a staple gun). I also added small triangles of wood so the seat doesnt slip off the crate.

10.01.2022 Nothing compares to homemade sausage rolls with homemade tomato sauce. All prepared for the Speed field days this Wednesday.

09.01.2022 Finally finished a project for me. Knitted in beautiful Noro silk, mohair and wool mix.

09.01.2022 Its that time of year. What am I up to on Sunday, when its a cool 38

08.01.2022 Yummy lamb roast on Sunday. What do you do with the leftovers? After a couple of days of lamb sandwiches, I did the Australian thing and made Shepherds Pie. Mincing the lamb and adding chopped onion, leftover gravy, homemade tomato sauce and mint sauce (dont tell Doug about this as he hates mint sauce). I topped it with mashed potato and grated cheese. Cant wait for tea tonight.

07.01.2022 More pears preserved this morning. A family effort, me peeling, D chopping and I filling jars.

05.01.2022 Who remembers getting their pen licence? Who still uses cursive writing? Who still writes? I still have one of my old ink pens, plus some of my Mums old ink pens. Lots of reminiscing and remembering (including fingers covered in ink ).

03.01.2022 Sheep dipping today. All hands on deck to bring the mob in and run them through the race. The wind made it dusty but mercifully kept the flies away.

02.01.2022 Stewed peaches made into a pie and with the leftover pastry I also made an apple pie from last years stewed apples.

02.01.2022 New beanie pattern. Love it, its so easy and quick.

01.01.2022 I made strawberry leather today....Well almost I chopped the strawberries, simmered them in a saucepan with a little water for a few minutes. After allowing them to cool I blitzed them in the smoothie maker and then spread the purée onto baking paper. I put it in the oven (set at 50 degrees) and promptly forgot about it. Aaaahh my leather is quite crunchy Oh well, there are more strawberries growing, take two will happen soon.
