15.01.2022 Thank you Heidi and Hip Happening Hair. We would love to see other businesses rattle up a few little raffles to help here.

14.01.2022 Thanks Kylie Nitz for all of your support. Second paragraph sums up nicely what we are aiming to achieve

14.01.2022 "Dear God no," yelped style guru Anne Nioa when we threw up these fun suggestions for our Divine Dunnies. Maybe they are not quite what will be approved as tasteful when we gear up for the fun project, hopefully in a couple of weeks. Our committee's application to create something splendid at the public toilets beside the town hall green is at present with the heritage authorities in Brisbane. Once we get approval, we will start our public appeal to raise $25,000 towards the cost of creating toilets that will be a delight for residents and a drawcard for tourists.

13.01.2022 We will be selling raffle tickets tomorrow (Saturday 7th November) from 8am to 2pm at Station Square. Thanks so much to our generous donors for the great prizes below.

13.01.2022 Introducing our talented Committee members

12.01.2022 We are off to the Hockey Grounds markets in the morning with our Divine Dunny and a heap of bric and brac. The Divine Dunny Angels will be inviting market-goers to toss some dollars in the dunny in return for a pick of bric a brac. Envelopes on hand to register larger donations.

12.01.2022 A big thank you to Patrick and Cheryl Costigan for a generous $1000 donation to the Divine Dunnies. Patrick (pictured) is an enthusiastic supporter of anything to stimulate the city heart and in confident the campaign to create Australia's finest public conveniences will bring more activity. He says his chemist shop often has visitors to the city inquiring about where they could visit civic toilets. He is a little embarrassed to point them to the public toilets adjoining the... town hall green. "They certainly need improvement," he said. The Costigans' donation takes the public campaign tally past $10,000. The target is $25,000. Details of the latest donations are on the tally post at the top of the page. See more

06.01.2022 And now for the Divine Dunnies announcements tomorrow.

04.01.2022 Lovely to see how public toilets are being treated as attractions in their own right. This one shaping up at Bargara will no doubt have tourists calling in to admire it. Completely different to our Divine Dunnies of course but the lighthearted idea of making toilets an enjoyable experience is growing.

04.01.2022 Committee member Carmel Murdoch will be available from 9-10am tomorrow Thursday 12 November during the markets on the town hall green near the public toilets, to meet with parents & child carers regarding ideas for the project’s refurbishment of the Parenting Room.

03.01.2022 OK. Here's a brilliant suggestion to boost tourism by taking the Divine Dunnies a step further back into time. We have been looking at these photos of the original town hall with the outdoor dunnies at each end. This one shows the brick wall around the women's thunderboxes. Maybe we could recreate this authentic historic precinct and add to the unique experience by having them serviced by a night cart person, costumed and perfumed appropriately to stand beside Mary Heritage and the Town Crier.

01.01.2022 Ashleigh and Neville Rowe popped into Maryborough in their RV on a short visit and were so impressed by what they found that they are planning their return. Camped for a couple of nights in Brownie’s 48-hour free parking spot in the centre of town, the couple from Calamvale, Brisbane, was also interested to hear about the Divine Dunnies planned project to transform the City Hall public toilets. It’s the sort of thing that impacts on you in a town when you travel, said Lesle...igh. If toilets are not nice you notice but if they were something special we would spread the word. Lesleigh said they had found Maryborough a pretty town with lovely heritage buildings. The (Gallipoli to Armistice) military trail in the park is really well done. We only had a day and it was raining but we saw the markets and we will be coming back when we have more time. There’s a lot to see. See more

01.01.2022 Thanks for the likes people, we’ve made it to woohoo
